Serena then got sent back by the explosion as Shin rushed to check up on her but he was stopped by Barrett who stood in his way.
Barrett: Enough! I won't let you hurt Serena-sama!
Shin: I just wanted to help her, dude...
Shin sighed before he activated his Duel Disk and got ready to face Barrett. However, the three Fusion Duelist suddenly heard a new voice speaking.
???: That won't be necessary.
Looking at where the voice came from, it was revealed that the voice belonged to none other than Reiji Akaba who was standing just a few feet away, his expression is as neutral as ever.
Shin: *to Reiji* Finally, what took you so long?
Reiji: *adjusts glasses* My apologies. I had to make sure all Xyz Duelists of the Tournament are safe, so they can't reach them.
Reiji: You did well job for saving Shijima Hokuto and defeating one of Academia Soldiers. Now just leave the rest to me, I have a few question for these two.
Their Duel went just like the show as Reiji really did show that he's the best Duelist in Arc-V. He was probably one of the 10 best Duelists in all of Yu-Gi-Oh Franchise. Even though Barret inflicted damage to Reiji by using his Beastborg Monsters, Reiji managed to counter all of that by using D/D/D Marksman King Tell and D/D/D Oracle King D'Arc. In the end, Reiji managed to beat Barret with ease and knock him unconscious.
Serena went to leave but Reiji stopped her by calling her out which stopped her.
Reiji: Wait, Serena!
Serena stopped walking as she turned around to look at Reiji, unable to remember who he is.
Serena: *to Reiji* Do I know you?
Reiji: I'm Akaba Reiji. Akaba Leo's... son. Do you remember? I met you once before, at Academia in Fusion Dimension.
At this moment, Shin was surprised that Serena's bracelet let out a small purple shine.
Reiji: *to Serena* You were a Duelist that Akaba Leo has his eyes most there. And now you're appeared on this world. Did Akaba Leo sent you here as the vanguard for an upcoming invasion?
Serena: *angry* Akaba Leo has nothing to do with this! I'm going to here with my own free will. Also I remember you know. Three years ago you crossed the Dimension and appeared in Academia. And because of YOU I was stuck in that stupid castle!
Reiji: *to Serena* In the last three years I was planning to crush Akaba Leo's ambition. That is the reason why I became President of LEO Corporation in the first place. To protect this world. Don't you wish to join me to fulfilling my goal?
Serena: *to Reiji* Don't be ridiculous. I only came to this world because I heard an Xyz Remnants was escaped to this world and also, Professor was eager to eliminate that Hero Duelist.
