Urvee's Pov

I stood in front of the mirror, my fingers fumbling with the pastel blue dress. My heart was racing like it never had before. Meeting him, the very man I had admired from afar for so long, wasn’t just an encounter  it was destiny playing its tricks.

Her Look

I sighed, staring at my reflection. How many times had I daydreamed about meeting Aarav Deshmukh? Watching those fan meets online had always made me a little envious, seeing others getting to meet him, hug him. And here I was, not only meeting him but meeting him for an alliance. An alliance, of all things. I had manifested this, hadn’t I? At least a meeting, a hug. But not like this.

My thoughts swirled in a chaotic mess. How do I keep my composure when I’m meeting him not as a fan, but as a potential partner? I couldn’t just gush about how long I’ve followed his work, or how I’ve admired him. No, I had to approach this like a normal person. He should see me as someone real, someone who could see past the fame and the cameras. I didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable. I knew how introverted he was, how much he valued his privacy.

“I need to keep it to myself,” I whispered, giving myself one last look in the mirror. “You’ve got this, Urvee. Meet him as Urvee, not as some obsessed fan.”

Suddenly, a knock interrupted my thoughts.

“Urvee, come down, beta. They’re here,” Mom called.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped out of my room, my heart hammering against my chest.

As I reached the living room, I saw Aarav’s parents and a girl, probably his sister, Raha. Instinctively, I touched their feet, but Manjari aunty pulled me into a warm hug, surprising me.

“You’re even more beautiful in person than in the pictures,” she smiled, caressing my cheek. I blushed, trying not to let the anxiety take over.

Raha introduced herself with such excitement. “Hi! I’m Aarav’s little sister, Raha! You’re so pretty, by the way!”
I replied saying, you're more prettier yourself.
Raha smiled and side hugged me.
Aww She is a cutiee!

We all exchanged pleasantries, and I was asked to bring snacks for everyone. As I headed to the kitchen, I overheard someone ask about Aarav.

“He’ll be here soon,” Manjari aunty reassured.

I couldn’t help but mutter,
Typical Aarav Deshmukh behaviour.”
I smiled to myself, remembering his interviews where he admitted he’s never on time. Even his co-actors complained about his punctuality.

As I returned with the snacks, Raha and I struck up a conversation about fashion and her studies. She was so down-to-earth, just like her brother.

And then, the doorbell rang. My heart felt like it was about to leap out of my chest.
