Author's POV
Urvee sat still, heart fluttering as Aashi carefully pinned the final pleats of her saree. Aashi came early in the morning,
Her hands trembled with nervous excitement, and she couldn't help but steal glances at her reflection, thinking about what this moment meant. I can’t believe today is the day… Her thoughts ran wild. Aashi sensed the tension, breaking the silence.•Her Look•
“You look beautiful, Urvee. Like, beyond words beautiful,” Aashi grinned, giving her friend a reassuring look.
Urvee exhaled, trying to soothe her nerves. “Aashi, what if... what if I trip? Or worse, what if I say something stupid?”
Aashi let out a soft laugh. “Girl, if anyone trips, it’ll probably be him after he sees you in this saree. Trust me. You're about to blow his mind.”
Urvee giggled nervously, but deep down, the nerves still simmered. She felt overwhelmed, and the weight of the moment was starting to press down on her.
Just then, her mother stepped in, eyes glistening with pride and emotion. “You look so beautiful, my love,” she whispered, cupping her daughter's face gently.
Tears welled up in Urvee’s eyes as she leaned into her mother’s touch. “Am I ready for this, Mumma? It’s all happening so fast...”
Her mother gave her a reassuring smile, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. "You're more than ready. And he's the one, trust me. I can feel it. My daughter deserves nothing but happiness."
Meanwhile, at Aarav’s house, things were just as emotionally charged. His masi was busy adjusting his jacket, making sure he looked sharp. Aarav, however, couldn’t shake off the mixture of excitement and nervousness knotting in his stomach.
Just as his masi stepped back to admire him, his mother entered the room. Her gaze softened as she took in the sight of her son, dressed up and on the brink of a new chapter in his life.
"Beta, are you happy?" she asked, her voice tender. "Did I force you into all this?"
Aarav turned toward her, his eyes reflecting warmth. "Aai, no one forced me. This... this feels right. I've always trusted your instincts, and now, I trust mine too." He smiled, his eyes reflecting a calm certainty. "I’m happy, genuinely."
She smiled, relief washing over her. "I just want your happiness. You know, I already love her. I strongly feel she's the one for you."
Aarav let out a soft laugh, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders as his mother pulled him into a warm hug. In her embrace, he felt an overwhelming sense of peace wash over him. Just then, Raha barged into the room with her usual dramatic flair.
