Mina's POV

It had been days since I last tried to get Taehyung to notice me. I had made several efforts-small gestures, attempts at conversation, and even the smallest hints of affection-but nothing worked.

He still acted like I was a stranger, as though I was invisible. The rejection was growing heavier, weighing down on me with each passing day.

I spent time preparing meals for him, cleaning the house, hoping that he would at least acknowledge me, but he never did.

The silence between us felt like a wall, something that could never be broken down.

I sighed, staring at the clock as I sat on the couch, the silence stretching in the space between us.

Just when I thought things couldn't get any harder, there was a knock on the door. I stood up and opened it to find my mother-in-law, Mrs. Kim, standing there with a kind smile on her face.

"Ah, Mina," she said, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation.

"I hope you're well."

"I'm... okay," I replied, trying to hide the weariness in my voice.

She smiled again, a little more warmly this time.

"Good. I'm here to talk to you about the party this weekend. There's going to be a large gathering at the mansion next Saturday-business partners, friends, and of course, the extended Kim family. I expect you to be there."

I nodded, feeling a little nervous.

"Of course."

She gave me a thoughtful look.

"You'll need to know how to behave, Mina. As the wife of Kim Taehyung, you will be expected to act in accordance with the Kim family's reputation. I trust you understand that."

I swallowed hard, unsure of how to respond, but she continued.

"I've arranged something for you,"

Mrs. Kim said, holding out a beautiful dress and a black card.

"This is for the party. I've also arranged for you to be a member of the Kim family, officially. This card is yours. You can use it whenever you need it."

My fingers brushed over the card, and my heart thudded in my chest. This was it. I was truly a part of this family now, whether I liked it or not.

"Thank you," I said quietly, trying not to show how overwhelmed I felt.

Mrs. Kim gave me a knowing smile.

"I expect you to look your best, Mina. You're representing the Kim family now."

I forced a smile, even though inside, everything was crumbling.

Taehyung's POV

I stood in the hallway, my eyes flicking to the clock as I waited for Mina to come down. The party tonight was important-business partners, family, the whole world would be watching us.

I had to play my part, just like always. But there was one thing I didn't expect: her.

She walked down the stairs, and for the first time in days, I was struck speechless.

She wore the black dress my mother had bought for her, and it hugged her curves in a way that took my breath away. Her long hair cascaded down her shoulders, and her lips were painted a bold red. The transformation was almost surreal.

I couldn't help but stare, taken aback by how beautiful she looked. She was a stranger, yet... so familiar.

"Wow," I muttered under my breath, before quickly shaking my head. I couldn't let myself get distracted.
