Only Time Will Tell

Chapter 5

*Lex's Point Of View:

Louis came back with a weird look on his face. But no one else seemed to notice; they were all too focused on Guitar Hero. I'm sure Louis was glad about that. He just took a seat on the floor next Zayn, who was standing, and facing Liam in a Guitar Hero battle.

When Vicki and Harry came back, Niall took his arm off of my shoulders, and yelled, "Yay! Food!" Everyone started laughing.

The song on Guitar Hero ended, and Zayn complained, "Okay, I'm officially bored now; let's do something else."

"Okay. How about truth or dare?" Carmen suggested.

"Yeah," everyone agreed.

"Okay, I'll start. But can I ask a group truth, if I answer it too?" I said.

"Sure," Niall replied.

"Okay, on an honest note, does anyone fancy someone else in this room? I'll start; yes I do," I put in, looking down.

We went around the circle. Next was Niall, he looked at me, making me blush, and he said, "Yes." 

Then it was Liam and he said, "Yes, even if I do have a girlfriend." He was trying so hard not to look at Carmen.

"Definitely," Carmen said looking straight at Liam.

"Yeah," Vicki said, because she was next. But she said it like a sigh, in a really sad way, and looked down.

Harry was next and he looked right at Vicki and with a cheeky smile, said, "Yes, I most definitely do."

Louis was sitting cross-legged and put his elbows on his knees, putting his face in his hands, shaking his head slightly and said, "Sadly."

"And I'm proud to say that I'm the only one who doesn't fancy someone else in this room," he said, chuckling. Then he said next, "Okay, I'll go next. Louis, truth or dare?"

"Truth..." he surprisingly said. I mean it was Louis. Everyone looked absolutely shocked, including me. 

"Okay, so hmmmmm... Why you so glum, chum?" Zayn asked.

"Ummm, I, uhhh, ermm— just miss, uhh, Eleanor is all," he answered hesitantly.

*Louis' Point Of View:

Shit. Of course he would ask that question. And I didn't do a very good job at convincing everyone that was the reason. But I couldn't just tell them what happened.

"Okaaaay, not very convincing but whatever. Your turn," Zayn said.

"Niall, truth or dare?" I asked.

"Dare," he said, giving a mischievious grin.

"Okay, I dare you to ask Lex on a date," I said. I know it was lame, but I wasn't in the mood.

"Easy. Too easy," he replied. Then, looked at Lex and asked, "I was going to do this sooner or later, but I guess it's sooner," he chuckled, then continued, "Anyway, Lex, would you like to go out to dinner and a movie with me, tomorrow?"

*Lex's Point Of View:

Wow! As soon as Louis dared Niall to do that, my heart started racing and butterflies flew in my stomach. But I think I'm going to joke with him a bit.

"Ummm, sorry, Niall, but I have a boyfriend..." I said trying to surpress the laughter. But then his eyes drooped and filled with hurt. And I immediately corrected myself, by saying, "Niall, I'm kidding. I'd absolutely love to go on a date with you." 

Niall's face spread into a huge grin, from ear to ear. And he said, "Great." Then he asked, "Liam, truth or dare?" 

"Truth," he said, obviously.
