Five months later…

Mew sat in his office, staring at the paperwork piled on his desk, but none of it registered in his mind. Tul had been missing from his life for five long months. It was driving him mad. The days had turned into nights, and the nights into agonizing mornings. He couldn’t think of anything but Tul—their memories together, the love they shared.

Mew had tried to move on for the sake of his daughters, Mayera and Mayesha, but the void Tul left behind was unbearable. He had spent months investigating the accident, slowly uncovering the truth about what had happened to them. And now, he had enough evidence to confront his parents.

He couldn’t wait any longer. Tul needed him, and he was determined to find him.

That evening, Mew stood in front of his parents’ lavish house, the weight of his investigation bearing down on him. His heart was pounding in his chest, filled with anger and determination.

As soon as he entered the house, his parents greeted him, their smiles forced.

"Mew, dear, it’s so good to see you," his mother, Mrs. Theerapanyakul, said, her voice too sweet for his liking.

Mew didn’t waste any time. "I want to talk about Tul. About what really happened between us."

His father’s face darkened immediately. His mother tried to maintain her composure, but Mew could see the guilt lurking beneath her expression.

"Mew, darling, you’re mistaken," his mother began, her voice soft and comforting, as if he were a child being told a bedtime story. "Whatever you think happened with that boy, it’s not true."

"I’m not mistaken," Mew replied sharply, pulling out the folder from his investigation. "I have evidence. I know what you did to us. You orchestrated the accident. You manipulated everything. Don’t lie to me."

His father, Mr. Theerapanyakul, who had remained silent until now, straightened up in his chair. His lips curled into a sneer, and Mew could feel the coldness in his father’s eyes.

"So what if I did?" his father said, voice dripping with disdain. "You were ruining your life with that boy. A middle-class, insignificant boy like him doesn’t belong with someone like you, Mew. I did what was necessary to protect you from yourself."

Mew’s anger flared. "Protect me? You took away the love of my life! You forced me into a life I never wanted. You destroyed Tul’s life, too. He’s out there suffering because of what you did!"

"That boy was a bad influence on you," his mother interjected, her voice trembling as she tried to stay calm. "He dragged you down. Look at you now, Mew. You have two beautiful daughters. You need to think about them. Tul is not the future you need. You need to marry a woman who can give your girls a mother—"

Mew’s eyes flashed with fury. "Motherhood is not about gender!" he shouted, cutting his mother off. "It’s an emotion, a feeling. A mother isn’t just a woman. A mother is someone who loves, nurtures, and cares for their children, regardless of whether they’re a man or a woman. Tul would’ve been an amazing father to them. He has the heart of a mother!"

His mother looked taken aback, her face paling at his words.

Mr. Theerapanyakul, however, remained defiant. "You’ve always been foolish, Mew. Thinking love was enough to survive in this world. But look where it got you. A broken man with two children who need a real family. Tul was weak, and you were blind to it."

Mew clenched his fists, his entire body shaking with rage. "Tul was never weak. He was kind, loving, and brave. And you destroyed him! You ruined everything we had!"

His father scoffed. "Your love was a distraction. Now, you have to move on and marry a proper woman to take care of your children."

"I don’t want your plans anymore!" Mew shouted, his voice cracking with emotion. "I want Tul. I’m going to find him, and I will bring him back. No matter what you think, I will never forgive you for what you’ve done to us."

With that, Mew turned on his heel, storming out of the house, leaving his parents in stunned silence. His heart raced as he left the place that had once been his home but was now filled with nothing but lies and betrayal.

Mew knew that the battle ahead wouldn’t be easy, but he was determined. He would find Tul, no matter what it took, and together they would rebuild the life that had been stolen from them.

As he drove away from his parents' house, his mind replayed the memories of him and Tul. The love they had shared, the promises they had made—he couldn’t lose Tul forever.

Tul was out there somewhere, and Mew was going to bring him home.
