I'll Wait

I'd wait for you in any storm to hold your hand and skip away from our messes. I'll look at you, drenched in dreams and love, and I'll fall harder. Day to dusk, I'll look up at the stars, counting each one as an "I love you". I'll sit here, waiting. I'd wait forever to sit beside you and rest my head against your shoulder, breathing in your scent of dew on rose bushes. This chain linked fence rusts as I wait, rain pounding down. But I'll wait.
