cecilia was in her dressing room, drinking a iced latte with dark caramel and vanilla syrup. she slurped it up like it was nothing.

while she was curling her little bangs, tate opened the door making her jump. the curling iron touch the very top of her forehead.

"ow!" she says immediately taking the curling iron out. tate immediately traveled over to her, feeling too concerned. her heart broke when she sees anyone hurt, especially her.

"are you okay lia?" tate asked worriedly, looking at the curling iron then back at her small injury on her forehead.

"I'm fine. still haven't gotten used to it though." cecilia said shrugging with a smile. tate then felt relief in her body.

"i need to tell you something!" tate continued sitting on her designated chair in cecilias dressing room.

cecilia rolled her eyes jokingly with a grin, before looking back to tate. tate grinned. "so you know charlton?"

the wavy haired girl nodded. "him and I are officially dating!" tate continued smiling and clapping.

cecilia clapped once, her smile that was genuine now was fake. "what?" tate asked tilting her head to the side the smile still seen.

"nothing- i just think that charlton just doesn't deserve you." cecilia confessed, looking into her mirror at herself. she felt tates eyes on her.

"he hasn't even been bad for me, you're just blind." tate cuts her off before she could speak. she shrugs.

"charlton and I are going out to lunch if you want to come?" tate suggests, tapping her fingers on her knees.

"yeah sure." cecilia shrugged, her smile still fake. tate kept the smile on her face before starting to feel like it was fake.

"well we'll be in the car. come out if you're ready." tate stranded up slowly, before walking out of the room slamming the door. in tates kind she couldn't help but feel this feeling of betrayal. charlton was good for her, was he?

cecilia stared at herself. "god, why do you always have to have such an attitude!" she whispered to herself, slapping her arm.

once she dialed down, she went to her closet. a black long sleeved t-shirt caught her eye, as well as a beige patterned skirt that went down to her ankles.

during cecilias decision, tate was in the car with her boyfriend. she couldn't help but think about cecilias words as if she was felt by them.

it broke her heart knowing her best friend told her that him- charlton- wasn't good for him. tate got a good look at him. he was looking around the car. maybe she was right.

suddenly, charlton kissed her softly. tates cheeks flushed red. it wasn't cause of him, it was of someone getting into the car. she told herself it was just because of embarrassment.

as cecilia got in the car the sight of the couple drives her crazy. kissing straight up, and right in front of her. she felt disgusted. or was it just because of her best friend kissing that.

tate cleared her throat, going to say something before charlton beat her to it. "we're gonna go to a restaurant. you good with that?" charlton asked, looking straight at cecilia.

cecilia gave him a look of pity, as well as annoyance. "yeah I am, can we just go?" she asked, scoffing and looking out the window.

charlton clenched his jaw, starting to drive. when charlton put his hand down, tate went to hold it, but almost immediately he put her hand palm down before patting it.

this little moment had tate so irritated. she then crossed her arms looking at the dreaded window.
