the car ride was silent, besides the muffled music playing on the radio. cecilia was dying to just get to the place, half of it was because of the silence.
after a few minutes the car stopped. "guess what?" charlton asked looking back at cecilia with a grin before back at tate.
"what?" tate asks back with a grin. cecilia watched with uninterest. a lot of it was just charlton.
tate puts a hand on his face. in the backseat were a lot of mixed feelings about that. "we're here." he says with a sing songy voice that made cecilia have her 13th reason.
charlton looked back at her, cecilia fakely smiled with a squint in her eyes. clearly a sign that it was fake.
with a clench of charltons jaw he got out, and opened tates door for her. "thanks handsome!" tate says happily, getting out, despite her state at the beginning of the car ride.
lia licked her lips before opening the door and slamming it. she walked behind the couple, fixing her hair every few seconds.
"i had a reservation for three at 3:00?" charlton says towards woman at the restaurant.
"right this way." the waitress says. she was bland as every waitress was. once the waitress stopped, cecilia sat down in the booth.
tate and charlton sat across from her. they were all over each other, it almost made her sick.
cecilia looked around trying to look anywhere but their eyes. tate cleared her throat, leading lias eyes back to hers.
she gave her a look teasingly, making cecilia smile softly. the moment was ruined by charlton speaking.
"well what are you gonna get?" he asks with a sickly smile on his face even though it was his normal one. how could tate even like this guy? cecilia thought.
"probably just a cheeseburger." lia mumbled, looking at him not in a sweet way. charltons smile just grew.
"a salad. I heard they have really good ones here." tate announced to the table, pointing out to charlton which one she wanted.
"it seems around your size too." charlton says, not knowing what he said is wrong. tates smile dimmed lightly. cecilia immediately fixed her posture.
lia sighed and rolled her eyes. as if it was perfect timing the waitress came. "do you guys want any drinks?"
"I'll have a pepsi." cecilia replys to the girl. the couple wanted water as the perfect people they are.
usually, tate would get soda in restaurants, so this wasn't like her much. cecilia bit her lip as she looked out the window.
charlton kept getting touchy, and all kisses with tate. cecilia turned her head towards them. she couldn't help it, plus what else is she supposed to look at.
she cringed as she saw charlton laugh at her squirming. this is why she is questioning her sexuality. men are clingy, but what about women? as tate saw lia looking, she quickly pushed charlton back into his spot.
the waitress set down our drinks. cecilia sipped some soda out of the glass. "so cecilia, what do you do for a living?" as charlton asked that question cecilia almost choked.
she coughed before answering. "uh- singing actually." lia says. tate smiles slightly to seeing the two finally talking.
"oh that's cool. what's your favorite song you've written?" he continued to ask. lia thought for a second. she didn't hate him that much at the moment.
"I like lie to girls. I don't hate it half as much as the rest of the songs." cecilia replys to his question. she shrugged.
he nods with a slight smile on his face. when he looks back to tate she opens her mouth pretending she was shocked.

once the three were all done with their food it felt as if cecilia was finally free. from dealing with charlton, and the couple shit.
she would rather hang herself than be with charlton. "you know, that wasn't half as bad as I thought." tate says to cecilia.
lia shrugged with a slight smile. "yeah. totally." she says teasingly, making tate laugh.
"shut up!" she said, going to get into the car as well as cecilia.
