Chapter 2 First Contact

Today is the first day of school for (Y/n)'s daughter, and once they arrive at the school (Y/n) reminds Charlotte of what he said before.

(Y/n): "Before you go in, remember what I told you."

Charlotte: "I still know that dad."

(Y/n): "Well ok I just want you to have a good day."

Before leaving, Charlotte hugs her dad, where (Y/n) certainly returned the gesture.

Charlotte: "I love you, dad."

(Y/n): "I love you too, sweetie."

(Y/n) watches his child go inside of the school in hopes that everything will go well.

Several Hours Later

As the school day ends (Y/n) waits for his daughter to come outside. He sees her but also there is another kid with her.

Charlotte: "Daddy! Look, I made a friend today."

(Y/n): "That's great to hear! What's your name?"

???: "My name is Lucy, mister."

(Y/n): "It's good to meet you."

As (Y/n) was ready to leave with Charlotte, he saw a woman come out, and not only did he think that maybe that was the teacher but how beautiful she looked.

She has quite pretty green eyes and her blonde hair in such a glamorous way.

As she was approaching closer (Y/n) kept his composure.

???: "You must be one of the parents, right?"

(Y/n): "Um...yes ma'am I am my name is (Y/n) (L/n) Charlotte's father."

???: "Well, in that case, it's nice to meet you. I'm the teacher. My name is Carol Mayberry, Mrs. Mayberry."

(I don't think we know her first name yet, so I'm just gonna let her first name be "Carol." You tell me how that sounds.)

(Y/n): "Good to meet my daughter's teacher it's very nice to meet you as well, Mrs. Mayberry."

Mrs. Mayberry: "Same to you, Mr.(L/n).

(Y/n): "That's not necessary. You can address me by my first name."

Mrs. Mayberry: "Ok (Y/n). I must say that your daughter was really great today!"

(Y/n): "No doubts about that!"

Mrs. Mayberry: "I'm sorry, I must go now. I don't want to keep my husband waiting."

In (Y/n)'s mind

(Y/n): "I hoped I didn't hear the misses part correctly."

(Y/n): "Sorry to hold you up."

Mrs. Mayberry: "Don't worry about it anyway. I'll see you two tomorrow."

Charlotte & Lucy: "See you tomorrow, Mrs. Mayberry!"

(Y/n): "Her husband is a lucky man."

(Y/n) said this in a low voice to not let his daughter and her friend hear what he just said.

As (Y/n) got home with Charlotte, she went to her room to play while (Y/n) started thinking to himself.

(Y/n): "Come on (Y/n) you literally just met the woman, and it's like you already have a crush on her."

(Y/n): "Besides, she's married, so I'm clearly don't want to ruin anything."

After that (Y/n), gets ready to sleep, and he just put his daughter to sleep for the next day.

Next Day

Upon arriving at the school in the morning as Charlotte runs off with her friend (Y/n) sees Mrs. Mayberry struggling with something.

(Y/n): "Excuse me, Mrs. Mayberry, do you need some help?"

Mrs. Mayberry: "Oh (Y/n) if you can, that'd be great. I brought a lot of books for the children."

(Y/n): "No problem."

As (Y/n) brought the books inside Mrs. Mayberry felt thankful for his help, and she didn't want to think about why her husband didn't help with her putting them in her car.

(Y/n): "That should be it."

Mrs. Mayberry: "Thank you very much for your help (Y/n)!"

(Y/n): "Don't mention it."

(Y/n): "I should leave you to your class now."

Mrs. Mayberry: "Yes, I need to begin class right now. Thanks again (Y/n)."

When (Y/n) was leaving Mrs. Mayberry, out of curiosity, wounder if (Y/n) was married as what kind of a woman wouldn't be with this man and have this wonderful daughter of his.

But she didn't think about that for long as she has a husband that she loves.

Something that Mrs. Mayberry would soon find out that her husband is not like (Y/n).
