There was an ancient legend to the indigenous inhabitants of the planet of Lothal. Over the centuries it became diluted and wained. Becoming an old wives tale. A bedtime story for children. The saying went that special people born on Lothal were actually descended from the animals, the cats and the wolves and the birds etc. That they had a special connection to nature, they had the ability to commune with animals, control plants, promote that growth of crops, and even poses animal traits, rare times one may have the talent to shift from human to animal form. But of course that's all just a story right? Turning into an animal. The ability to communicate with nature. A deep connection to the planet and everything on it. Even having what some would call super powers. How supercilious. Over time with wars, planetary destruction, and other sorts of calamity and devastation, many residents fled or perished and fewer and fewer locals were left on Lothal who actually held the lineage of over a thousand generations of ancestry. Few knew of the stories and even fewer believed in them. The Ghost crew had never heard of these fables before, but they were about to discover that they just might be true, and that the tales had a special connection with the hidden Jedi temple upon the same planet. They would soon learn that the stuff of legends may be more fact than fiction after picking up a stray Force sensitive Lothali boy named Ezra Bridger.

"Come along Ezra, it's time for bed."

Ezra yawned upon hearing his mother's words. His canines poking out from under his lip as his mouth stretched apart, even tho they were still only his baby teeth they had always been larger and longer than the other childrens. But he took great care of them and they never caused him any problem or pain, so his parents thought nothing of it other than being no more than a unique character trait.

"But I'm not tired." He rubbed his brilliant blue eyes, trying hard to resist the bleary threat of sleep. "Can you tell me a story, please? The one about the old timey people with super powers?"

"You mean the Jedi and the shifters?"

"Yeah!" Ezra sat up eagerly at his father's reply. "It's my favorite story."

"Oh alright." Ephraim sat down on the sofa and patted the seat next to him. "But just the short version, it's getting late and you need to go to bed. We have to meet with uncle Tseebo in the morning."

"Yaaay!" Ezra bounced up in the air, even while fighting sleep he still had quite the aerial leap, ever the athletic boy. He accidentally knocked the edge of the ceiling lamp, causing it to sway slightly. "Oops."

"Careful." His mother warned warmly.

"That boy." His father sighed fondly with a slight eye roll. "Sometimes I feel like luck granted him 9 lives."

Ezra climbed the sofa to sit next to his dad, his mom sitting down next to him on his other side, making a nice comfy Ezra sandwich. She reached over and held his hands as he nuzzled up against her affectionately. Even as a baby, Ezra had always been a cuddler, and his mother loved that about her sweet boy. A rumble formed in his throat as he started to purr. His dad chuckled slightly. Ezra was always pretending to act like a Lothcat, a silly game he liked to play, imitating the wild strays that lived in the fields where he roamed as free as his spirit.

"Goodness Ezra, is it time to trim your nails already?" Miriam inspected her boy's finger tips. "They get long so fast."

"That's ok, I got it." Ezra began to chew on his fingers.

"Don't do that." She gently pulled his hand away from his mouth with a small smile of amusement, his nails had always been a little sharp, more than normal for babies, but just another little oddity of their child. "Be careful or you'll cut yourself."

"Or cut someone else." Ezra held up his hands like claws and gave a playful roar "rahrrrr."

"Ok kiddo, story time."

"Yesssss!" Ezra grinned happily as his dad ruffled his hair.

"A long time ago, on the ancient planet of Lothal...."
