The past few days had been a delicate dance of avoidance. Since their confrontation, Jungkook had kept himself away from YN, coming home late, leaving early, and always busying himself with work. There was a tension in the air, and YN knew that if something didn't change, they would continue to drift apart, or worse—things would escalate into something more dangerous.

She sat in the living room, staring out the window as the afternoon sun bathed the room in a warm glow. She knew she couldn't just sit by and let this happen. She needed to reach out to Jungkook, to make him understand that their relationship had to change if they were going to have any hope of moving forward.

The sound of the front door opening echoed through the large house, and YN took a deep breath, steeling herself. It was Jungkook. He walked in, his gaze dropping as soon as he saw her. She noticed how he avoided eye contact, how he walked with his usual confidence, but there was something off—something fragile.

"Jungkook," she called, her voice gentle but firm.

He hesitated, looking at her for the first time in days. His eyes were guarded, a flicker of uncertainty in them. "I'm tired," he said quietly. "I don't want to talk right now."

"I know," she replied, her voice softening. "But I think we need to. We can't keep avoiding each other like this."

He turned his back to her, setting his keys on the entryway table. "There's nothing to talk about. I'm doing this for us. You just have to trust me."

YN stood, crossing the room to stand behind him. "I know you think you're protecting me, protecting us, but this isn't what I need, Jungkook. I need you. Not your plans, not your control—just you."

He tensed at her words, his shoulders stiffening. "You don't understand, Darling. There are things I can't just let go. I can't let anyone come between us. I can't let you slip away."

She reached out, placing a gentle hand on his arm, feeling him flinch at her touch. "And I'm not trying to slip away. I want to be with you, but I want to feel safe, Jungkook. I want to feel like we're in this together, not like I'm just a piece in your plan."

He turned slowly to face her, his expression conflicted. For a moment, she saw a flicker of vulnerability behind his eyes—the side of him that she had fallen in love with. "I don't know how to change that," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know how to be different."

"You don't have to be different," YN said, her eyes locking with his. "You just need to be willing to try. Let me in, Jungkook. Let's work on this together. I'm not your enemy. I'm your wife."

He looked away, his jaw clenching. "It's not that simple."

"Maybe it's not," she acknowledged. "But it can't stay like this either. I miss you, Jungkook. I miss us. I know you're scared—scared that I'll leave, that things will change. But they have to change if we're going to be happy."

He was silent, and she could see the struggle in his eyes. He wanted to hold on, to keep control, but there was also a part of him that yearned for the love they once had, without all the complications and fear. She could feel the wall he had built around himself, but she wasn't going to give up.

"Please," she said, her voice breaking just a little. "Just let me in. Let me see the man I love again."

Jungkook closed his eyes, his hands curling into fists at his sides. "you don't get it how dangerous it is—how vulnerable it makes me."

"I know," she said, stepping closer, her hand reaching up to touch his face gently. "But that's what love is, isn't it? Vulnerability. Trusting each other even when it's hard. I love you, Jungkook. But I need you to meet me halfway."

He opened his eyes, looking at her, and for the first time, she saw the crack in his armor—a glimpse of the man she knew he could be, if he let go of his obsession. His gaze softened, and he sighed, his shoulders sagging just slightly.

"I don't know if I can," he whispered, his voice heavy with uncertainty.

"You can," YN said, her voice filled with determination. "You don't have to do this alone. We'll take it one day at a time, and I'll be right here with you. But you have to try. Promise me you'll try."

Jungkook's eyes searched hers, and after what felt like an eternity, he nodded, his voice barely audible. "Okay. I'll try."

Relief flooded through YN, and she smiled, a small but genuine smile. She reached up, brushing her thumb across his cheek. "That's all I ask for."

For the first time in what felt like ages, Jungkook leaned into her touch, his forehead resting against hers. It was a small step, a tiny moment of connection, but it was enough. Enough to give her hope that maybe, just maybe, they could find their way back to each other.
