Third Person's Pov ~

The sun had just begun to set when Taehyung stepped into Seojoon's hospital room. His heart was heavy with the weight of everything Jungkook had told him the night before—the truth about the letters, the lies Seojoon had told, and the years of pain and confusion it had caused. Taehyung felt a mixture of emotions—anger, sadness, and a strange sense of relief.

Seojoon lay in the hospital bed, frail and pale, his once bright eyes now dulled by illness. When he saw Taehyung standing by the door, he smiled weakly.

"Tae... I'm glad you're here," Seojoon said, his voice barely a whisper.

Taehyung moved closer, his hands trembling. He knew this conversation wouldn't be easy, but it had to happen. He couldn't carry the weight of these unresolved feelings any longer.

"Seojoon..." Taehyung began, his voice low but firm. "I know everything. Jungkook told me the truth about the letters."

Seojoon's smile faded, and guilt washed over his face. He looked away, unable to meet Taehyung's gaze. "I... I'm sorry, Tae. I never meant to hurt you. I thought I loved you, and when I saw how much Jungkook loved you... I got scared. I was selfish. I didn't want to lose you to him."

Taehyung's heart tightened at Seojoon's confession. "You lied to me, Seojoon. You made me believe it was you behind those letters. And because of that lie, I pushed Jungkook away."

"I know," Seojoon whispered, tears welling in his eyes. "I've regretted it every day since. I should've told you the truth, but I didn't. I'm so sorry, Tae."

Taehyung swallowed hard, his emotions swirling inside him. He had loved Seojoon, or at least he thought he had. But now, standing here, he realized something profound.

"I think a part of me always knew something was off," Taehyung said quietly. "Even when we were together, I never felt completely comfortable with you. We never... we never kissed. We never got intimate."

Seojoon nodded, his face crumpling with the weight of his own guilt. "I know. And I think you were right to feel that way. Maybe, deep down, you knew that I wasn't the one for you."

Taehyung's eyes filled with tears, but he blinked them away. He reached out and took Seojoon's hand, squeezing it gently. "I forgive you, Seojoon. I loved you as my best friend, and I always will. But I've realized that the person I should've been with all along... was Jungkook."

Seojoon smiled weakly through his tears, his voice barely a whisper now. "I'm glad. He deserves your love, Tae. And you deserve his. I hope you two can be happy together."

A few hours later, Seojoon passed away peacefully, his final moments filled with the warmth of forgiveness and closure. Taehyung left the hospital with a heavy heart, but also with a sense of peace. Seojoon was gone, but he had made amends. Now, it was time for Taehyung to move forward.

Back at their home, Jungkook sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for Taehyung's return. He had no idea how the conversation with Seojoon had gone, or what Taehyung was thinking. When the door opened, he stood up, his heart pounding.

Taehyung walked in, his eyes red from crying, but there was a softness in his expression that Jungkook hadn't seen in a long time. He walked over to Jungkook, stopping just a few inches away.

"Seojoon is gone," Taehyung said quietly. "He passed away earlier today."

Jungkook's face fell, his heart aching for his best friend. "I'm so sorry, Tae."

Taehyung shook his head and reached out, taking Jungkook's hands in his own. "There's something I need to say... something I should've said a long time ago."

Jungkook looked at him, his eyes filled with confusion and hope. "What is it?"

Taehyung took a deep breath, his heart racing. "I was blind, Jungkook. Blind to how much you loved me, blind to my own feelings. But now, after everything... I know the truth. I love you, Jungkook. I think I've always loved you, but I was too caught up in Seojoon's lie to realize it."

Jungkook's breath hitched in his throat. "Tae..."

"I'm sorry it took me so long to see it," Taehyung continued, his voice trembling. "But I'm here now. And I want to be with you."

Jungkook's eyes filled with tears as Taehyung stepped closer, cupping his face gently. Then, without hesitation, Taehyung leaned in and kissed him—soft, tentative, but full of emotion. It was their first kiss, the one that both of them had been waiting for.

When they pulled away, Jungkook's voice was barely a whisper. "That... was my first kiss."

Taehyung smiled softly. "Mine too."

Jungkook looked puzzled for a moment. "But... you were with Seojoon for so long. How could that be your first kiss?"

Taehyung's expression softened, and he shook his head. "Seojoon and I were never... intimate. We never kissed. I always felt like something was missing when I was with him. Maybe, deep down, I knew that my heart didn't belong to him. It belonged to you."

Jungkook's heart swelled with emotion. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. After all these years, all the heartache and misunderstandings, Taehyung was finally his.

In the days and weeks that followed, their relationship blossomed in ways neither of them had imagined. They grew comfortable in each other's presence, falling into an easy, domestic rhythm. Taehyung would hum softly while cooking breakfast, and Jungkook would sneak up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist, pressing soft kisses to his neck.

They shared laughter, quiet moments, and deep conversations, learning new things about each other every day. And in those moments, Taehyung found himself falling more and more in love with Jungkook—the boy who had loved him quietly for so long, and who now, finally, had his heart.

One evening, as they lay in bed together, Taehyung rested his head on Jungkook's chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.

"I'm sorry it took me so long to realize my feelings," Taehyung whispered.

Jungkook smiled, his fingers gently running through Taehyung's hair. "You're here now. That's all that matters."

Taehyung looked up, his eyes shining with love. "I love you, Jungkook."

"I love you too, Tae," Jungkook whispered, his heart full.

They kissed again, soft and slow, their hearts finally in sync. And in that moment, they knew that whatever challenges life threw at them, they would face them together—because they had each other, and that was all they needed.

Epilogue: Happily Ever After

Months passed, and life settled into a peaceful routine. Taehyung and Jungkook's bond only grew stronger with time. They found joy in the simplest things—cooking together, going for late-night walks, or just cuddling on the couch, wrapped up in each other's warmth.

Their love story had been complicated, filled with heartache and misunderstandings, but in the end, it had brought them to a place of happiness and love. And as they lay in bed one quiet evening, their hands intertwined, they knew that they had found their happily ever after.
