Injury

The next morning, I'm woken up by flat buzzer. Nick stirs and cuddles me tighter.
"I need to go see who's at the door." I giggle softly.
"No you don't." He whispers, sliding his hand down my back to my bum.
"You're so gay." I whisper.

He chuckles softly and kisses me, pushing me down into the bed. My flat buzzer rings again, I move my head away and he chases my lips.
"Nick." I giggle.
"Urgh, fine." He laughs, moving away from me.
"I'll get rid of them." I chuckle, getting out of bed and pulling on some joggers.
"Hurry up." He says cheekily and I smirk at him.

I go into the hallway and press the button on the intercom.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's me." Tao's says.
"Oh, hey."
"Are you gonna buzz me in?" He teases.

I slightly groan and buzz him in, I still haven't told Tao that me and Nick are together. I open the door and quickly go back to my bedroom to get a t-shirt on.

"It's my friend, Tao." I tell Nick, pulling a t-shirt over my head.
"Oh, should I stay in here?" He asks, getting up to put some clothes on.
"It's up to you." I say, giving him a quick kiss before leaving the room.

I go back into the hallway as Tao walks through the door.
"Hey, you've been really quiet recently, are you okay?" He asks, closing the door.
"Yeah, I'm good." I say causally.
"Why are you being weird?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at me.

I hear my bedroom door open, I turn around and Nick walks out dressed in joggers and a t-shirt.
"Oh, that's why you've been quiet." Tao laughs and I turn back to face him.
"Yeah..." I say awkwardly.
"Last I heard you were in denial about having a crush on him." He teases.
"Sorry, it's my fault Charlie felt like he couldn't tell you," Nick says, placing his hand on my waist, "I'm not really out properly."
"It's fine, I'm only messing." Tao says, smiling at him.
"So... Uhm..." I say awkwardly.
"I was gonna ask if you wanted to do something today, seeing as the pubs closed, but I can see you're already doing something." Tao says and smiles cheekily.
"Jesus Christ." I laugh and Nick laughs too.
"Do you want me to go?"
"No, no it's fine you can stay for a bit." I say.

I make us all tea and we chat, Nick sits with his arm around me. It feels so natural, like we've been together for ages. I fill Tao in on everything that's happened, minus the sex at work.

Over the next three months, me and Nick only become closer and his confidence grows even more. We have such a strong, healthy relationship and our sex life is amazing.

After new year's eve, I spoke to Tom and started having two days off a week. Thankfully, he was fine with it and my stress levels have already gone down a lot. Mine and Nick's days off don't always match up, but that gives me time to see my friends and my sister.

It's Friday, and I've somehow ended up with today and tomorrow off work. Nick's off tomorrow too, so we get the whole day together away from work.

He finishes work in an hour, and after spending the day with Isaac, I decide to go surprise Nick. When I walk into the pub, he isn't behind the bar so I go and sit down on a bar stool.

"What are you doing here?" Sam asks playfully.
"Just can't stay away apparently." I laugh.
"Nick's downstairs, shall I let him know you're here?" He asks quietly, I smirk at him and he nods in acknowledgment.

Sam is the only person here who has worked out that Nick and I are together. He understands that we're keeping it quiet, and doesn't draw attention to us. He's older and looks like he's straight out of a gangster film. When he started working here, I never expected I'd actually get on with him.
