Taehyung’s heart lifted with happiness, a genuine smile spreading across his face. The news of Jimin coming back was exactly what he needed to hear after the rough morning. It felt like a bright spot in a series of difficult moments, and he couldn't wait to have Jimin hyung around again.
"Hyung, this is the best news I’ve heard in a long time," Taehyung said, his eyes lighting up. "I really missed him. It’s going to be just like old times, right?"
Jungkook smiled at Taehyung’s excitement, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, it’s going to be great. He’s excited to see us too, and I think it’ll be good for all of us to have him around again."
Taehyung’s mind raced with memories of all the fun times they had shared with Jimin. Late-night talks, spontaneous trips, and the way Jimin always knew how to cheer him up. He felt a wave of relief wash over him, knowing that having Jimin back would help him deal with the tension between him and Jungkook.
"We should do something special when he arrives," Taehyung suggested, his voice full of excitement. "Like a surprise welcome party or something."
Jungkook chuckled at Taehyung’s enthusiasm. "I’m sure he’ll appreciate that, but let’s not overwhelm him. He’s going to need some time to settle in after the move."
"Yeah, you’re right," Taehyung nodded. "But I’m still really happy about this. Things are going to be so much better with him around."
Jungkook gave him a reassuring smile, glad to see Taehyung’s spirits lifting. "They will be. But remember, it’s up to us too. We need to keep communicating and looking out for each other."
Taehyung nodded earnestly, feeling more hopeful than he had in a while. With Jimin returning and his relationship with Jungkook starting to mend, it felt like things were beginning to turn around. The next morning, the house was buzzing with excitement. Taehyung, Jungkook, Noha, and little Jugguk all piled into the car, ready to head to the airport to pick up Jimin and his family. Taehyung could barely contain his excitement as they drove, constantly glancing out the window, eager to see his older brother figure after so long.
"Hyung, do you think hyung will recognize me?" Taehyung asked with a playful grin, knowing full well that Jimin would.
Jungkook chuckled, glancing at him in the rearview mirror. "You haven’t changed that much, Tae. I’m pretty sure he’ll recognize you right away."
Taehyung smiled, bouncing slightly in his seat. He was looking forward not just to seeing Jimin but also meeting his family, especially after hearing so much about them during Jimin’s time overseas.
Noha, sitting in the front seat, smiled at Taehyung’s enthusiasm. "It’s going to be great having them all back. Jimin was so excited on the phone, he couldn’t stop talking about how much he missed everyone."
Little Jugguk, sitting beside Taehyung, was also filled with excitement, though his understanding of the situation was more limited. "Is Uncle Jimin bringing me toys?" he asked innocently, his eyes wide.
Everyone laughed, and Taehyung patted Jugguk’s head. "Maybe, but I think the real gift is that he’s finally coming back."
