Taehyung entered Jimin’s company with a bright smile, eager to see his best friend after such a rough couple of days. As he walked through the office halls, though, he could hear Jimin’s voice raised in frustration. Taehyung slowed his steps, sensing the tension. When he peeked into Jimin’s office, he saw his friend standing behind his desk, furiously shouting at one of his employees. Jimin’s face was red with anger, his sharp gaze cutting through the room.

For a second, Taehyung hesitated, unsure if this was the best time to interrupt. But before he could turn around, Jimin’s eyes landed on him. The moment their eyes met, Jimin’s expression softened instantly, the anger melting away. His hardened features broke into a wide smile.

“Taehyungie!” Jimin called out, his voice now filled with warmth.

Without another word, Jimin dismissed the employee with a quick wave of his hand and immediately walked over to Taehyung. His mood had completely shifted. He didn’t waste a second before pulling Taehyung into a big hug, lifting him up like a koala. Taehyung laughed in surprise, wrapping his legs around Jimin’s waist as he clung to him.

“Hyung!” Taehyung giggled, his heart feeling lighter as he was held close. Jimin was always good at making him feel safe and cared for.

Jimin carried him over to his desk and sat down in his chair, keeping Taehyung on his lap. He looked at Taehyung affectionately, as if the frustrations of his workday had completely disappeared. “What are you doing here, my little baby? Did you miss me?” Jimin asked playfully, giving Taehyung’s cheek a gentle squeeze.

Taehyung grinned, nodding. “Of course, Hyung. I needed to see you.”

Jimin’s smile widened as he wrapped his arms tighter around Taehyung, resting his chin on his shoulder. “Well, I’m glad you came. You always know how to brighten my day.”

The atmosphere in the room was now completely different, the earlier tension long gone. With Taehyung sitting comfortably on his lap, Jimin’s heart felt at ease, and they both enjoyed the comfort of each other’s company.

As Taehyung sat comfortably on Jimin’s lap, feeling safe and at ease, the door to the office suddenly opened. Jimin’s secretary walked in, her expression cold and stern. Her eyes immediately landed on Taehyung, and the sharpness in her gaze sent a chill down his spine. She didn’t say a word, but the disapproving look she gave him was enough to make Taehyung tense up.

Taehyung’s heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively shifted, shrinking slightly in Jimin’s arms. He wasn’t used to being on the receiving end of such a glare, and it made him feel small and vulnerable. His eyes flickered to Jimin, hoping for reassurance.

Jimin, sensing Taehyung’s discomfort, immediately turned his attention to his secretary. His smile faded, replaced by a protective and authoritative look. “What’s the matter?” Jimin asked, his voice firm, but there was a warning edge to it.

The secretary, noticing the shift in Jimin’s tone, cleared her throat. “I came to discuss the report you requested, sir. But...” She hesitated, her eyes glancing back at Taehyung. It was clear she didn’t approve of the casual, intimate way Taehyung was sitting on Jimin’s lap.

Jimin's jaw clenched slightly, and he wrapped his arms more securely around Taehyung, pulling him closer as if to shield him from the tension. “You can leave the report on my desk. I’ll review it later,” Jimin said, his voice calm but leaving no room for argument.

The secretary placed the report on the desk, giving Taehyung one last glance before turning to leave. As soon as the door closed behind her, Jimin turned his attention back to Taehyung. His protective demeanor softened, and he gently brushed a strand of hair out of Taehyung’s face.

"Don’t worry about her," Jimin said softly, sensing the fear still lingering in Taehyung’s eyes. "She’s just a bit too serious for her own good. You’re safe with me, always."

Taehyung nodded, though his heart was still racing from the encounter. Jimin’s comforting words helped, and he rested his head against Jimin’s shoulder, finding solace in his friend’s presence. Jimin held him tightly, as if to remind Taehyung that no one could ever make him feel small while he was around.

“I won’t let anyone scare you, Taehyungie,” Jimin whispered, his tone gentle yet firm. "You’re mine to protect."he said and kissed his forehead
