Tiana was at the store getting groceries and other supplies for her nail shop. She was running out of a few gems and nail polishes, especially the ones that her clients loved.

Tiana knows that she has to watch her surroundings at all times because anything could happen to her while she's at the store. She was in the meat aisle, trying to get something different for dinner.

While she was doing that, she accidentally bumped into someone's kart. As they looked up at each other, she knew that it was Malakai's mom.

"Tiana? Is that you dear?" She asked.

"Oh, Ms Jackson wasn't expecting to see you here." Tiana said.

"It's so good to see you. Have you and my son been getting along?"

'This lady really believes we are still together.'

"We aren't together anymore, Ms. Jackson. I'm dating someone better, " she said, noticing his mom's expression change.

"Oh, that's unfortunate, hon. I thought you and my son had something together. You know, I wish you all could be together again," Ms Jackson said.

Tiana felt uncomfortable talking to his mother about her son; when she knew that her son was a total woman beater and an asshole, it was like she thought her son was innocent.

"Respectfully, Ms Jackson, we will never be together again, but if you'll excuse me, I have things to get."

She began walking off with her kart, feeling uncomfortable, thinking about all the times when Malakai would beat her and tried to go to his mom for comfort, only to find out that she would defend him, saying it was an "accident." Or that "he didn't mean to do it; he was just angry."

It was just pissing her off thinking about it so it felt weird to be speaking to his mom out of all places.

She finished checking out as she headed towards her car, putting some of her stuff in the trunk and some in the backseat as she got inside.

Tiana felt her phone buzz as she saw a text from Jey.

ZaddyJey🤍: mamas wyd?
ZaddyJey🤍: I miss yo' pretty ass

She smiled at the text and began texting him back.

Mamas🩷: I'm just about to leave the store bubba had to get some things.
ZaddyJey🤍: you tryna slide later on mama?
Mamas🩷: yeah you know I'm always down to spend time with you baby. 🥰
ZaddyJey🤍: any tea?
Mamas🩷: yeah, I ran into Malakai's mother today at the store it was so uncomfortable bae. 😀
ZaddyJey🤍: did y'all talk or sum'?
Mamas🩷: yeah, we did but she thought me and him were still together I told her that we wasn't and that I was with someone better.
ZaddyJey🤍: Iktr ma
Mamas🩷: you should've seen her facial expressions when I said that almost seemed displeased by that.
ZaddyJey🤍: 🤷🏽‍♂️ what can I say.

Mamas🩷: okay love I love you.
