Eventually, they left Marissa's house and followed Caesar out of the building. Huey caught up to Caesar and tapped them on his shoulder. "The fuck was that back there?" Huey asked, as Cindy, Riley, Hiro, and Jazmine trailed behind. "Nigga, what the fuck you think? They did this same shit to me and Stacey, and it's cool?"

Caesar snatched his beanie off as he walked down the street, showcasing the bald patches still evident in his head. "Nigga, I got bald patches in my fucking hair!" He placed it back on. "Stacey got shit she'll never get over in her life. Fuck that bitch!"  Caesar exclaimed.

Riley spoke up. "That bitch ain't have nothin' to do with that doe. We was just tryna show em niggas we ain't wasn't shit to play with." Riley chimed in. For once, Huey agreed with him. They weren't there to do that much damage. Caesar shrugged his shoulders as they all turned a corner, a block away from the tenements at his point.

"Doesn't matter now, I wish one of them niggas try to test me today or anyday."

Huey shook his head in disappointment. "Caesar, you may think you safe with that gun, but trust me. We is much safer fighting these dudes. That gun carries life sentences, not just no play shit no more."

"Yeah, Huey is right." Jazmine replied.

"Course' , you'd be on his side. You fuckin em."

"Ay bruh, watch ya mouth." Huey slightly shoved Caesar.

Caesar stopped in his tracks and turned around, facing everybody. "Y'all niggas tryna give me an intervention and shit? The fuck? I know I ain't the only one who tired of running from these niggas. I know y'all niggas tired of looking behind ya backs at night wondering if this finna day you gone get scarred for life.  It's only a matter of time before they find the tenements. Then what? Y'all gone go home? Ta ya shitty lives? And do what? We all dropped out, we ain't got shit going for us. Cept' Hiro ass, but y'all keep tryna pull him back in."

Cindy had been listening all the way up to this point but she nodded her head in agreement. "Y'know he's right, I ain't trying to end up life Stacey, and I ain't tryna keep running from Speedburn either. I'm glad he got that gun. Fuck it."

"Yeah, fuck it." Hiro joined.

Huey sighed, realizing this was a losing battle. "Alright, but don't say I ain't warned you. When ya start shooting. People usually end up shooting back."

While they were standing on the corner, a sleek black car rolled up to them and rolled down the windows, It was Derek. He stopped his vehicle and stepped out, looking at the teens before saying. "Y'all ain't gone want to hear this. Been lookin' for yall asses for a little while. Anyways, Speedburn outta jail. We couldn't keep em, we had no evidence he did anything."

"What?!" Caesar shouted. "Nigga, no evidence?! What kinda evidence do you need nigga, I gave you my testimony? Now, the nigga out and he know I told?!" It was like Caesar's world was crashing down, he risked his reputation snitching on Speedburn only for him to still be able to slip away from the charges.

Derek sighed and glanced down already knowing the news was upsetting to hear. "Look, I want you all to stay safe, go home,  maybe some of you try to get back in school. Isn't goin--" Derek's radio went off.

"Need a cruiser to a home on 2nd street! Two persons, one unconscious and other badly wounded." The radio chirped.

Derek's eyes glanced between them and he noticed they were walking from the direction of this call. "Y'all better have fucking not." He said before rushing back into his car, and got into it, disappearing down the block.

"Let's get the fuck!" Riley said, running into the alleyway and everyone followed. They ended up , splitting up. Riley , Caesar, and Hiro went their own way, while Huey and the girls made went their own, they were all heading to the tenements.
