As soon as Lisa left, Taehyung turned on his heel and marched toward the kitchen, ignoring Jungkook entirely. He was clearly upset, and Jungkook, sensing the shift in his mood, followed behind him like a lost puppy. The soft sound of Jungkook's steps filled the room as he trailed after his husband, his expression full of concern.

"Tae!" Jungkook whined, trying to catch Taehyung's attention. But Taehyung merely pouted, his focus on preparing their meal as he busied himself with the stove. His silence was deliberate, a sure sign that he was mad.

Undeterred, Jungkook moved closer and wrapped his arms around Taehyung from behind, resting his chin on Taehyung's shoulder. He could feel the warmth of Taehyung's body through the thin fabric of his shirt, but still, his husband refused to acknowledge him.

"Talk to me. I need your attention," Jungkook murmured softly into his ear, hoping to coax him out of his mood.

"No, I'm angry," Taehyung replied, his voice firm despite the pout on his lips.

Jungkook let out a soft sigh, trying to explain himself. "But she's my cousin, Tae."

Taehyung's pout deepened. "Still angry."

Jungkook raised his eyebrows in disbelief. "Really?"

Frustrated but determined to break through Taehyung's sulking, Jungkook reached over and turned off the stove. The sizzle of the food came to a halt, and before Taehyung could protest, Jungkook gently grabbed his shoulders and spun him around to face him.

"Yah, what are you doing? I'm cook—" Taehyung began, but before he could finish his sentence, Jungkook silenced him with a sudden kiss.

Without breaking the kiss, Jungkook lifted Taehyung effortlessly, carrying him out of the kitchen and into the living room. The kiss deepened as Jungkook settled onto the couch, pulling Taehyung onto his lap. They remained locked in the kiss, their emotions pouring into each other until they finally broke apart, both breathing heavily. Their foreheads rested together as they caught their breath, the air between them still charged with unspoken feelings.

Suddenly, Taehyung's eyes filled with tears, and his lips trembled as the first tear rolled down his cheek. The sight made Jungkook's heart lurch in panic. "Baby, what's wrong?" Jungkook's voice was thick with concern as he quickly wrapped his arms around Taehyung, pulling him into a protective embrace. His hands gently patted Taehyung's back, trying to soothe him. "I'm sorry if I did something wrong. Don't cry, please."

Through quiet sniffles, Taehyung's voice wavered. "Stop calling me baby. I'm older than you."

Jungkook smiled softly at that, though his heart ached to see Taehyung in distress. "You're still my baby," he whispered, his voice tender as he wiped away Taehyung's tears with the pad of his thumb.

Taehyung sniffled again, his voice barely above a whisper. "Will you leave me?"

Jungkook's heart broke at the question, and he quickly shook his head, his eyes glistening with unshed tears of his own. "No, never. I won't ever leave you."

Taehyung looked up at him with those wide, doe-like eyes, filled with uncertainty and a hint of sadness. "What if someone more beautiful than me comes along? Will you still be with me?"

Jungkook's smile softened as he gazed at the man he loved more than anything. Gently, he cupped Taehyung's face in his hands and wiped away the remaining tears with his thumbs. "I'll still be with you, no matter what. There's no one more beautiful than you to me, Tae. So stop thinking like that, okay?"

But Taehyung, always quick to catch a loophole, pouted even more. "So, you're saying there are people more beautiful than me?"

Jungkook blinked in disbelief and let out a soft chuckle. "That's not what I'm saying at all, bear. Don't twist my words." He leaned in, pressing gentle kisses on Taehyung's damp cheeks. "Don't cry."

Taehyung's lips quivered again as another wave of uncertainty washed over him. "What will I do if you leave me?" His voice cracked as he spoke, and the tears began to fall once more.

Jungkook's heart clenched at the sight of Taehyung's vulnerability. Without a moment's hesitation, he pulled Taehyung into his arms, holding him tightly as if to shield him from his own fears. "I won't leave you. Ever," Jungkook whispered against Taehyung's skin, peppering butterfly kisses along the curve of his neck. "You're my cute little hubby."

Taehyung sniffled, his emotions still swirling as he gave Jungkook a weak push. "I'm not little," he muttered between soft sobs, glaring up at him through watery eyes.

Jungkook chuckled at the sight, his heart swelling with affection. Even when he was upset, Taehyung was still the most adorable person in the world to him. "Still my little TaeTae," he teased gently, leaning in to press a soft, lingering kiss to Taehyung's lips.

Taehyung's resistance melted away at the kiss, his arms wrapping around Jungkook's neck as he relaxed into the embrace. Despite his earlier tears, a small smile began to form on Taehyung's lips as he kissed Jungkook back, feeling reassured by the warmth and sincerity in his husband's touch.

In that moment, all of Taehyung's fears and insecurities seemed to fade, leaving only the steady rhythm of Jungkook's heartbeat beneath his fingertips and the soft murmur of their breaths mingling together.
