A few days later Katie was absent from school. After school Megan went to her house. She knocked on the door. Katie’s mum answered the door her eyes were red, she has been crying.
M: Hey Melany are you okay? I came to check up on Katie because she was absent today.
M: Oh Megan I do not know how to tell you this but Ka…Katie ended her life last night.
*Megan’s eyes started tearing up*
M:She slashed her wrists.
M: Oh my good! Why would she do something like that?
M: I do not know sweetheart. She left a letter for you on her desk. Let me go get it for you.
Melany handed Megan the letter. When she opened it she saw it had tear stains. She knew she had to sit down to be able to read it.
