Penelope

PART TWO CHAPTER ONE

    It was a cold January night, when while Penelope was reading her book. She heard the doorbell ringing. She put her book on a shelf after of course putting a bookmark inside. After she got up and started walking towards the door to answer it.

      As she started approaching the door she started having second thoughts on whether she should answer the door or not since she was home alone. As she was getting closer and closer to the door she became more and more scared and decided to act as if she was not home. She started walking upstairs to go to her room and call her mum.

Monday, January 22nd 2007

11:47 PM

M: Penelope? Hello? Why are you not in bed yet? You do know you have school tomorrow right? You were supposed to be in bed by 11:30 PM! Do you know what time it is young lady?

P: Hey, mum. I know I should be in bed right now but I was getting ready for bed when I heard the doorbell ring.

M: Please Penelope tell me you did not answer the door.

Penelope: No, mum I did not. I had a bad feeling so I did not but why are you so worried all of a sudden?

M: I heard Lesley is out of jail and you know how he can be. I do not want anything to happen to you. I love you so much dear.

P: Oh! I did not know Lesley is out of jail and yes mum I know you love me a lot.

M: Well, Penelope please go to bed now.

P: Okay mum! I love you, goodnight. Talk to you in the morning

M: Goodnight dear.

      As Penelope was getting to the washroom to brush her teeth before bed she heard the doorbell ringing again. She started approaching the door again before answering the door Penelope said “Hello?”, ”Who is it?” but got no answer. “Hello?” Penelope said again but still no answer. “I know someone is out there!” Then she opened the door but saw no one but she asked “Hello? Is anyone here?” she obviously got no answer so she decided to close the door. Penelope then went upstairs to her room, then she laid in bed as she started falling asleep.
