Kirishima's POV:

The air buzzes with energy as Class 1-A prepares for the hero vs. villain exercise with the Big Three. Kirishima’s heart pounds, his dragon quirk stirring restlessly beneath his skin. Today’s exercise feels different—more intense. Maybe it’s because they’re up against Tamaki and Hadou, or maybe it’s because Bakugou, as usual, is marching to his own drum, pulling away from the group.

Kirishima doesn’t hesitate to follow. He never does. Bakugou strides ahead with that unwavering confidence, his body taut with purpose. Kirishima’s dragon flickers with excitement, its instinct to follow the explosive energy Bakugou radiates. Denki tags along, babbling nervously about sticking together, but Kirishima can barely hear him over the sound of his own heartbeat. His focus is locked on Bakugou.

When they pull up to the scene, Denki’s driving is frantic, but Kirishima is barely paying attention. He’s perched on the hood of the car, and Bakugou stands behind him, a familiar tension settling between them. The plan doesn’t need to be spoken out loud—Kirishima can feel it in the air, in the way Bakugou’s hands crackle with anticipation.

Bakugou launches him forward with an explosion, and Kirishima flies into the center of the fight, dragon scales hardening across his body. The impact shakes the ground beneath him, but his heart soars. He’s here. He’s got Bakugou’s back, and that’s all that matters.

“He’s coming!” Kirishima calls out, pride swelling in his chest. “The star of the show!”

Bakugou’s POV:

Katsuki doesn’t need anyone following him. Not Kirishima, not Kaminari. But somehow, the two idiots always end up in his shadow. It pisses him off, but at the same time… there’s something grounding about Kirishima’s unwavering loyalty.

As they speed toward the fight, the familiar adrenaline kicks in, and Katsuki’s mind sharpens to a point. Kirishima’s sitting on the hood like an overexcited puppy, his dragon quirk making his muscles ripple with anticipation. Katsuki barely gives him a glance before his hands start to spark. He knows exactly what Kirishima is waiting for.

In an instant, Bakugou releases an explosion, launching Kirishima into the fray. The redhead soars, his dragon form flashing to life midair, and Bakugou watches as Kirishima lands with that stupid grin plastered on his face. "He's coming--the star of the show," Kirishima yells, like Katsuki needs an introduction.

As soon as he’s on the battlefield, Bakugou doesn’t waste time. He charges at Tamaki, blasting him down without a second thought. Kirishima’s voice rings out again, “That was amazing, Bakugou!” It grates on Katsuki’s nerves, but there’s a part of him—deep down—that swells with pride. Kirishima’s voice has always had that effect.

But it’s not enough. Tamaki’s holding back. Katsuki knows it. His frustration boils over, and without thinking, he explodes again, screaming, “DIE!!” The blast sends shockwaves through the area, and for a split second, everything is chaos.

Kirishima's POV:

The power radiating from Bakugou’s blast sends shivers down Kirishima’s spine. He’s seen Bakugou in action a hundred times, but something about this moment feels different—more raw. He watches in awe as Tamaki crumples under the force of the attack, his own chest swelling with pride. “That was amazing, Bakugou!”

But as Bakugou screams out “DIE!!,” Kirishima feels his dragon quirk stirring again, not in excitement, but in concern. Bakugou’s power is incredible, yes, but sometimes… it feels like he’s burning too bright, too fast. Kirishima clenches his fists, scales shimmering across his skin as he braces for whatever comes next.
