KH chapter 2: Long Day, Stressful Night

UNKNOWN POV...

The music and voices gradually getting louder the closer I get to the shop, JOE'S PIZZA... it's a small pizza shop but they get a lot of customers apparently, other than the great taste, it runs 24 hrs which also makes it more popular....
I recently just got a job here, the owner Mr Joe was sceptical about me but his wife katherine somehow managed to convince him, the pay is fair as well but my job is quite risky especially at the time of my shift 7pm - 11pm on week days, I'm the delivery guy, but I also work as a waiter when I'm not delivering, also on weekends 9am-5pm. I've been trying to keep a good employee image, hopefully my pay would be increased by the end of the month but after this that's not gonna be happening anytime soon, oh my heavens! what if he fires me! 'Relax I'm just overthinking, that won't happen, right?'.....
The moment the bell chimes most eyes are set on me but they all turn back to there business the same second, although I could still feel a few lingering gazes, oh heavens I hate attention but right now that's the least of my worries....

"Hey iaan! the boss wants you at the back" I hear one of my Co-worker call out to me and approach him...

"Hey Jace, " I greet him. "Is he angry?" I ask even if I already know what the answer is, I try to hope...

"Is there anytime he isn't angry, the only difference this time is that he's angry at you and heads up Katherine didn't come today" Jace says and I visibly shiver, I'm so scared I might piss my pants, if Katherine isn't there to control him, I'm dead... I might as well save my self some stees and just walk out the door cause I'm definitely gonna get kicked out that same door today....

"Iaan, hey dude..." jace calls out snapping me out of my thoughts....

"Uh..yeah, what were you saying?" I ask still scared shitless, I can't loose this job, it's pretty had to get one, especially a decent one, especially when you're an inecperience undergraduate, in other words ME!.....

"You're visibly shivering man, relax.. you ain't getting murdered...I think so?" Jace says trying to reassure me but it wasn't helping....

"Thanks a lot, you were so helpful" I sarcastically say, shooting him a glare as I walk past him into the kitchen....

"You're welcome?" I hear jace reluctantly say while chuckling nervously as I walk past him, I just roll my eyes and go to the back...

"Oh boss!, I see you finally decided to show up, welcome, welcome...here have a seat" Mr Joe says sarcastically to me gesturing to a stool at the corner of the kitchen....

"I'm sorry sir, I know i came late but i didn't mean to come late, I lost track of time and I just forgot that I had work, plus school was really hectic today, I was so tired and overslept and I know I have no relevant justification for you to pardon me and I understand that, I respect any punishment you want to give me, tomorrow is saturday, I'm working 9am-5pm but I can work 9 to 12, I'll clean up for a week, I'll do anything but please don't fire me, please...I really need this job" I blurt out panickly, without giving it a thought, i think i just put myself by myself on a hook, in other words SOLD MYSELF... Mr Joe doesn't say anything, he just stares at me with a blank expression seeming lost, to be honest he looked so dumb right now, If i wasn't in a tight spot right now, I'll me laughing my piss out.....

"I didn't hear shit you said kid , I kind of droned out a bit there, I hate long speeches and I hate those who give long speeches, they make my ears bleed...('That's it i'm a gonner, now he'll say i'm fired and kick me out the door and that's it, stees lost..job lost, talk about killing two birds with one stone')... But luckily for you customers love you, I've got 2 weeks profit in five days. You've got magic in this face of yours kid, keep up the good work." Mr Joe says and I mentally roll my eyes and cringe a bit at his last words....
