I run into the alleyway with nothing but the blanket from my grandma's house on, carrying my most important possessions. I make it to the end of the alley where there's a wall, before collapsing with sobs, quickly passing out.
*Time skip*
"Is someone there?" I sit up against the wall, getting ready to use my powers if I need to. "Hey sweetie," I hear the woman's voice again, "is something wrong? Are you sick?" The woman and her friend walk closer to me, obscured by shadows.
"Go away," I say rather desperately, "please, just leave me alone." I gather ice shards in the air around me.
"Honey," the woman says, "you need to go to the hospital."
"No," I say, quivering in fear, "I can't pay. I don't have any money."
"That's okay," she says, "you don't have to worry about that. We can pay."
They get too close for comfort, and I push my hands out, flinging the ice towards the two women. I feel myself getting lightheaded, and I pass out.
