Date.

It was certainly a strange day for Dorian. First of all, it was one of those days where neither he nor Victor had many classes, so their schedules conveniently lined up. He wasn't expecting much from the day, especially not Victor actually inviting him to eat lunch with him. Usually, he kept to himself. Dorian wasn't complaining.

So, there they were, sat together and eating, as you usually did when someone invited you to lunch. Dorian made sure to sneak occasional glances at Victor, watching him as he ate, thinking...

This was a rather romantic setting, wasn't it? Sat at lunch together. Alone. In a place where nobody else usually went... Dorian saw it that way, at least. It made him feel surprisingly fuzzy, which he knew was silly, but he couldn't exactly help it. Something about the situation made Dorian giddy... it hit after a second.

This felt like a date.

Dorian knew that maybe that was just wishful thinking, Victor would never go on a date with him... right? Right? Unless, Dorian thought, he was secretly nice and had liked him from the start. Dorian almost gasped. That must've been it!

Dorian was so lost in thought that he hadn't noticed the large grin that had spread on his face, and also the fact that Victor had started looking at him with a curious expression.
"...Why are you staring at me?" He asked, one eyebrow raised. Dorian was quickly snapped out of his thoughts, and he blinked, tilting his head as he replied.
"...No reason." But there really was a reason, and now Dorian felt like so giddy. He couldn't help it.

Of course, Dorian was being rather... well... stupid. It was a normal thing to invite someone to lunch. Dorian was at a point where every little thing made him want to jump at the idea of romance, point and say that it was what he thought it was. That was him being an idiot.

He didn't know.

If he ever found out, he wouldn't care. Dorian would very happily continue on being as giddy as a teenager with their first crush, because honestly, Dorian didn't remember the last time he had felt so happy at the idea of an arranged, surprise date. His heart was beating, and his mind was racing, and, well... anything else you could say to describe how you feel around someone you've grown to like. Dorian really did like Victor, and it was slightly torturous. He didn't even try get over it anymore.

Throughout the whole lunch, all the two really did was sit in silence; Dorian looked at Victor when he wasn't looking, Victor probably not noticing. Dorian was satisfied with that... he had already finished his food, and now he was waiting for Victor to finish his.

To his dismay, when Victor did finish, he immediately began to stand up. Dorian grabbed his sleeve and began to tug him back down, frowning up at him. "Stay a little bit longer, Victor... please?" He pouted, but he couldn't help but smile when Victor sat back down, albeit seemingly incredibly confused.
"What?" He questioned almost immediately, clearly incredibly confused on why Dorian had just tugged him back down. The blonde merely shrugged.

"Cause," he knew that this one word answer probably wouldn't satisfy Victor, so he began to talk again. "I just think it's so lovely today, Victor! It'd be a shame to leave the second we finished eating, we should stay!" Dorian cheered, kicking his legs back and forth. Victor looked admittedly surprised, and a little bit annoyed, but Dorian knew what he was doing. He thought. He had never been on a date before.

Dorian cleared his throat. He leaned back and began to point at the sky, pointing out clouds that seemed to resemble certain shapes. Victor, at first, seemed a little bit reluctant to join in on this, which Dorian figured was just regular Victor, but he knew he could coax him into joining in. He smiled incredibly wide when he managed to get Victor to point out at least one or two clouds that he found interesting.

Now, it really felt like a date. Dorian felt his face growing warmer and warmer as the minutes progressed, and eventually, he found himself reaching out, grabbing onto Victor's hand almost subconsciously. He could feel that Victor was about to pull away, so he tightened his grip. With a very audible sigh, Victor relented and let Dorian hold it. He could allow it for now.

All of a sudden, Dorian laughed, pointing up at the sky. "It's a bunny, Victor, look!" He cheered, and Victor raised an eyebrow. "Dorian... that's not a bunny, it doesn't even slightly resemble one. It looks more like an egg." He replied, his tone rather dull, although his face lit up by a slight smile. He was enjoying himself, Dorian silently triumphed. That was all he needed for now... besides, he thought Victor looked nice when he smiled like that.

All Dorian wanted to do was stay here for a while... maybe Victor did, too. "No, it is a bunny, i'm telling you- look closely!" Dorian continued pointing out, trying his best to show Victor. At one point, he glanced back to Victor, watching his nose scrunched up. "I don't see it." He mumbled. Dorian groaned and decided to take measures into his own hands.

Gently, he reached out and took Victor's chin in between his fingers, tilting his head in a specific way to where he'd have no choice but to be looking in the way that Dorian was.
"See?" He asked, not even glancing at Victor, who hummed and shrugged begrudgingly. "...I suppose I do. You have to understand, Dorian, not everyone can see from your perspective... from mine, it looked more like an egg." He mumbled. All Dorian did was giggle more, glancing back to Victor and at once noticing how close they were.

For whatever reason, Dorian didn't get the idea to immediately pull away, because Victor was making eye contact with him, too. Dorian couldn't help but lean in, his eyes closed, his lips slightly pouted. Good for him, Victor didn't push him away- maybe he, too, was expecting this when they locked eyes, because Dorian could feel him press back a little bit. Oh, wow.

Dorian had to admit, he was excruciatingly shocked by the fact that Victor had actually kissed him back, even more so than he had kissed Victor first. It was nice, Dorian thought to himself. Neither of them seemed too experienced, because it stuck to just touch of the lips, and it ended at just that. Dorian didn't try and act surprised when Victor immediately turned his head away, and his own hand fell from his chin, instead reaching down to grab one of Victor's own.

Victor didn't pull his hand away. Not yet. They sat in silence for a few seconds, until Victor pressed another quick kiss to Dorian's lips, pulled his hand away and began to walk away, although not before picking his trash up. Dorian grinned stupidly, stood up and chased after him.
