Second date and doubts

Nico's pov

When I woke up in the morning Will was gone. He was just gone. I created a check list of where he could be after checking the entire cabin.

Not in his cabin- renovation

Not in the infirmary- his day off

Not in my cabin- just not here

Not in the forest- he doesn't think he can handle going alone 'he's a healer not a fighter!"

Not in the lake- it's winter

Not in the training arena- healer not a fighter

Not on the climbing wall- he thinks he's too weak to pull himself up

He could be in the strawberry field

I got ready for the day then ran to the strawberry field, he was setting up a picnic blanket with Cecil. I thought he liked me.

I shadow travel to McDonalds, the one where I go a lot.

"Hi, Nico! I will make you a happy meal!" My favorite love expert, Piper, says.

I sit down at my table, looking out the window. Red car, blue car, black car, white car, gray car, white car, black car, purple car, orange car, Wills truck. Wait? What? Will?

Piper comes and sits down next to me with a happy meal, she passes me the happy meal. She looks at me and freezes.

"Your heart is broken? Why? Was it Will solace, the doctor guy?"

"How do you know so much?"

"Your face, I'm a daughter of Aphrodite."

Right, she can read my emotions. I hate it when she reads my emotions.

"I have to get back to work soon."

"Can you drive me back to camp when your done? I'll wait here."

"Anything for you my little Nico." With that she walks back to the counter."

WILLS POV

When we were done setting up the picnic I went to get Nico from his cabin, he wasn't there. I asked around camp if anyone had seen him, no one had.

I was giving up hope when Clovis sluggishly walked over to me.

"I was sleeping and saw Nico with Piper talking at McDonald's."

"Thanks Clovis!"

Nico went to McDonald's, it's so unhealthy!

I ran into McDonald's, Nico was sitting at a table in the corner.

"Nico," I said when I reached him, "McDonald's is so unhealthy!"

"I needed to get away from camp, and I wanted to visit Piper."

"Please come back with me!" I plead, I don't want him to eat anymore McDonald's today.

"Piper was going to drive me back!" Nico protested.

Maybe he doesn't want to hang out with me. I start to walk away when Nico grabs my hand.

"You can ride back with us." Nico suggests.

"I...have to help out in the infirmary in a couple hours. "

"Ok." He sounds sad.

"Is something wrong?"

"Do you still love me? You ran aw-"

I cut him off with a kiss, it was short but we were in public so I wasn't sure Nico would like it if it was long.
