how Kakashi found you

*ten years ago*

Kakashi and Tenzo were just re-entering the Land of Fires border when Kakashi picked up an unusual sent.

*SNIFF SNIFF*

"Tenzo, you smell that?" Kakashi asked.

"Smell what?" Tenzo replied confused.

They both stopped running and landed on the ground. Kakashi started smelling the air again.

*SNIFF SNIFF*

"I don't get it. What is that smell?"

*SNIFF SNIFF*

"Hmm, it smells like..."

*SNIFF SNIFF*

"Smoke and............ Blood!"

Kakashi ran off in the direction of the sent with Tenzo hot on his heels.

"W-wait! Kakashi! Where are you going!?" Tenzo was beyond lost.

".........." Kakashi was ignoring him, but that wasn't what seemed off about him.

They continued following the sent... Well... More like Kakashi followed the sent and Tenzo tried desperately to keep up.

*SNIFF SNIFF*

Kakashi suddenly changed direction.

"Wo-woah!" Tenzo almost tripped over his own two feet trying to keep up.

After about thirty minutes a strange light was visible a little ways in front of them.

Kakashi started picking up the pace.

Tenzo did as well.

And as they got closer Tenzo could tell that the light he saw was a fire. A very. Big. Fire. It almost seemed as if an entire village was on fire, sadly that is exactly what was going on.

"Hurry Tenzo!" Kakashi urged.

That was the first time he had said a word since they started. And just as Kakashi told him he picked up the pace.

"What is it Kakashi! What's going on!" Tenzo asked over the crackling of the fire.

"I don't know..... But it doesn't look good." Kakashi responded.

As they approached the gates of the village they noticed something. This was the Shinobi village of the Ōkami clan. Known for their master wolf whisperers and pitch black eyes and unruly wild hair. The color varies but they all have the same eyes and hair type. A very powerful clan. Just like how a pack of wolves work as one, the Ōkami clan was just the same so for something like this to be happening was truly surprising.

"Wha-what! This can't be happening, the Ōkami's are the most communicative clan there is, any disputes are settled in a calm, civil manner. What could have caused this!" Tenzo was on his guard.

But before he could say anything else Kakashi bolted into the flames. And Tenzo reluctantly followed.

But just as he was catching up a massive wall of flames fell inbetween them and they were officially separated.

*Kakashi's POV*

I heard a crash behind me, but I didn't care. There was something in here that I needed to find. I continued to follow the strangely unique sent that I never expected to be able to pinpoint.

"AAAAAAAAAAH!!"

I stopped dead in my tracks. That sound was coming from the same place that the strange sent was coming from. I decided to follow my gut and followed the sound. I came across a half flaming building and, once again, stopped.
