Chapter Text

You sat, eyes on the window, gripping Han's hand tightly as your country faded into clouds. Han felt you tremble, and quickly turned your face to his with a gentle hand.

"Hey. Adventure! Right?" His smile was soothing to your heart. Looking into his eyes, you could see how happy he was. You turned and gave him a long, slow, sweet kiss, then giggled at the little shiver that went through him.

"Adventure," you agreed. You let your hand slide nonchalantly from his chest to his lap, where it found the expected bulge. Han growled low, his upper lip raising in that sexy snarl.

"You aren't too pregnant for me to rail, you know. The doctor said."

It was true. As soon as you'd told Chan about your decision, he'd immediately had his people arrange for you to see one of the city's best OBGYNs, an emergency visit to make sure you were safe to fly. Han had insisted on being your escort. He asked so many embarrassing questions that you had your face covered with both hands half the time, but by the time you left, you certainly knew a lot more than before.

You grinned and kissed him again, knowing full well there was nothing he could do until the plane landed. After he begged you to stop teasing, you turned back to the window, seeing nothing but blue sky over a horizon of fluffy white clouds. The flight seemed to last forever, but then you were on the ground in Korea, a place you never thought you'd be - especially under such bizarre circumstances.

They'd set you up in a hotel suite until you could find an apartment of your own. You refused to move into the dorms, determined to live alone until they decided how to handle everything professionally - letting the company know, making decisions about the fans, figuring out how it would all play out. You hadn't agreed to marry Han and wouldn't until you knew everything was going to be ok for the group, both publicly and privately. You had a LOT to talk about.

You truly hadn't decided if you wanted to marry at all, although of course it would be better for the baby to have a legal father. And while you loved Chan and Hyunjin as well as Han, it was obvious to you that marrying either of them was out of the question. The group needed them to be single a while longer. As one of the top sex symbols in Korea Hyunjin certainly couldn't be married yet, and Bang Chan was the leader - he would be expected to maintain his current level of production and also be the perfect husband and father in the public eye - an impossible task with seven existing kids.

Not that Han wouldn't suffer from both of those issues as well, but he was insistent that his fans would understand. And... you had something special with Han. Not more love, just more... something. I yearn for him when he's not with me. I need him.

That didn't keep you from laying awake at night worrying, imagining, and fussing at yourself. Even the long day of traveling and getting your stuff unloaded didn't exhaust you enough to fight off the insomnia. Han tried his best to distract you, to wear you out further, but in the end he was snoring quietly beside you while you stared at the ceiling.

You turned and looked at his sweet face, kissing him lightly before getting out of bed, pulling on panties and Han's t-shirt and sneaking into the kitchenette for a glass of milk. You grabbed your phone and snuggled up on the couch with a blanket.

You had two messages from Hyunjin that had come in since you'd looked, and they made you smile.

[Jinnie 10:22pm] Hi baby. I'm so happy you're in Korea with us. I know it's a strange place for you but we'll help you get used to it. I want you to know that if you ever get lonely or scared, you can call me and I'll come right away.
