Summary:
This is the second ending. If you don't like it, try the first ending. :)
If I get enough response, I may continue one of these stories with a new work.
I also might not.
Either way, I'm really glad you read it and thank you for your time! The very last show of this crazy tour had finally arrived. Everyone puts on brave faces backstage, but there were many hugs that lasted a little too long. You refused to let anyone cry, at least not around you. It's going to be fine. You try to distance yourself a little, not wanting to be a constant reminder, and Chan makes sure everyone is focused on the show.
"This is LA, boys. Lots of important people in the audience. Let's give 'em what they came for." Nods all around, the guys already doing vocal warmups and stretching.
The stage manager appeared, indicating that they had 5 minutes. They got into their huddle and hyped themselves up as you ran to the front of the stage, wanting to be there when they walked out. You find a place right in the middle of the photo pit, smiling quickly at the bouncers and news media photographers that were nearby.
The lights flashed and smoke poured out. When SKZ takes the stage, they immediately OWN it, and the audience goes insane. The crowd is so intense that you could see the heatwaves rising from them when you looked out. The show is incredible. Top five, you think, maybe top three. You leaned on the rail separating the photo pit from the stage, camera in your hand. You'd never sang along so hard, or laughed so much at their stage antics. Most of all, the music was amazing - their voices in top form, every single one of them making you so proud you could pop. Your camera clicked continuously in your hands; you wanted to capture this as much for yourself as anything.
Your tears started without warning as they began the last song, "Never Say Goodbye". They looked so good up there on the stage, and your heart broke with how much you knew you'd miss them. You'd be okay. You had to. You had a new career to look forward to, eventually a new tour to join, and you would always have friends in Korea. Plus, they'd be back, you had no doubt - they promised. Chan even got your address so he could send you gifts, and gave you their real address, in case you wanted to send them anything. You were sure you'd see them again, and you could stay in touch electronically...
You shook your head, hoping it wouldn't just make things worse, not allowing your hearts to move on. You knew it was a possibility, and as miserable as it made you, you knew you had to start distancing yourself, to face facts. You signed up for this, knew it was coming, and you still fell in love. Now the consequences were here - in three days, they'd be gone.
The boys were waving goodbye now, tears on all of their faces but smiling, the crowd screaming and crying right along with them. You lifted your camera, focusing in on the group hug when the song ended. Hyunjin saw you and pointed so the guys would all wave, giving you the best ending shot you could hope for. Smiling widely, your heart in your throat, you stepped back to take the pic, and bumped into a bouncer.
You quickly turned to apologize, but you were suddenly overcome with dizziness. You reached out, trying to catch the rail, but everything rapidly became dim, your knees no longer interested in supporting you. You stumbled backwards into the bouncer, who caught you when you fell. He reacted quickly, slipping his arm under your legs and lifting you up, your head falling back limply. As your vision faded to black, the last thing you saw was Chan, Jisung and Changbin rushing toward you, mindless of the stage they were on, with five other startled faces watching you slump in the bouncer's arms.
What the fuck is that beeping?
It didn't stop despite your efforts to will it away, so you slowly opened your eyes.
