MEGAN POV
We pull up to this private airport and board one of the jets. I look around it amazed; we're on a private jet.
"Bish even though we're held captive this is nice.... No one is gonna believe this on the gram" Glo says in my ear making me roll my eyes
She quickly sits down in one of the seats telling me to take her picture. I quickly take a couple of pictures of her then grab the seat next to her.
"Let's take these real quick. With these new phones we got"
"Glo....." I whine but we pose as she takes a selfie of us
We hear laughing and it's Kelly looking down at us as she passes to sit in the seat behind us. She gives a quick wink to Glo; making me look and side eye her.
"Are y'all making eyes at each other?"
"No! She literally just looked at me. I don't be looking at her"
"Umm; Gloria are looking at that girl?" Ma says sitting across from us smirking
I laugh as Glo starts to explain herself and of course it's not working. We make it to Texas. Fucking Texas; all along they were from Texas not no damn Florida!
As everyone smiles saying they want some real cowboy boots; I sit angry at the lies.
"So we're all gonna live on our estate. Kelly and Dave gotta get some of their clothes and come tomorrow we're gonna get y'all some clothes" Shawn says to us
As we're in the car we all agree that we have to find out why the Boss is after Kellon. I believe it's all because of Zakary; it has to be. Zakary was some fuck boy that dated my brother and was complete bad news.
It's definitely because of him
"Tell us everything about this Zakary...." Beyoncé says with a notepad out
"Zakary; was this guy I was dating well not really dating cause to him we were just messing with each other...he would be nice one minute then the next be ready to fight. We fought so many times....he even threatened me; saying he was gonna slit my throat. Or shoot me. Then he started talking about how he pays people to kill and how if I leave him he'll just hire one of his dad's associates to take care of me. Which is why I took forever to break things off with him...then he got comfortable and was leaving papers in my house of transactions. Between his dad and some high class people. Like- that senator that was caught on tape with his mistress. He paid his dad millions and then like five days later it was on the news that the guy that filmed it was found dead. Then the next minute no case was opened or anything. Just swept under the rug...." Kellon says
I watch how they're acting. And it's gives; "y'all are the associates that take care of things..." Glo says
Kelly nods her head as she bites her fingernails; "I was the one that did that mission...FUCK!" She shouts in the end and walks away
We watch her walk away; Beyoncé puts glasses on and I stare at her. Admiring her. She looks so damn good with them on.
"Did he ever take you to meet the Boss?" She ask
"One time. When I broke up with him. H-He kidnapped me and brought me to the house. Don't ask me how but he got me all the way to Texas... I was in the basement for days...till his dad came down and was going down there to deal with someone else. I watched him kill the mayor. I gasp or I think I made a noise and he seen me and nearly told one of the guys with him to shoot me. But Zakary came down and begged him not too. Since then he felt bad and let me go; even paid first class seats for me..."
"That's when we was looking for him and put a missing person report out and no one did anything. They said my baby was just some loose gay that was with someone and didn't want to be disturb...you see what happens when people have power. They run the world....and we're just the hamsters on the wheel stuck..." Ma says wiping her eyes
I lean on her side hugging her. "No crying Nana"
Lani says hugging her as well
"Well...it is late; and y'all need some time to rest. I think we should call it a night" Shawn says yawning
We all agree and head to the rooms they gave us. As Lani is sleeping on her stomach I can't sleep; so I go to Ma's room. And find her completely knocked out; well I guess she's comfortable with them now... I go to Kellon's room not even finding him on his bed but on the floor passed out sleep too. I head to Glo's room and she's sleeping as well. Like damn is everyone at peace but me.
I slowly head to the kitchen to find a snack or something. Maybe some tea to put me to sleep. As the water boils; I look for lemon tea. And all I'm seeing is green or peppermint; making me groan.
"Can't sleep either?" I hear making me jump dropping the peppermint tea box
And there stands Shawn; "I was just trying to make some tea. But y'all clearly don't have lemon tea"
"...we didn't. But Bey went out to get you some. We remembered that you love lemon tea. I'll get it" he says coming further into the kitchen grabbing the tea from another cabinet
I thank him and start to make my tea; hoping he'll leave. But of course he doesn't.
"You know we didn't mean to lie to you. We really care for you and had a wonderful five days with you...you don't know this but Bey keeps that seashell you gave her with her. She always has it with her saying it's her good luck charm. I'm sorry you had to raise our child by yourself"
"I wasn't by myself. I had my family to support me"
"But you didn't have Bey or I to help you. We created her; we should've been there..."
"Well I looked for y'all and found that y'all didn't exist. I knew y'all name wasn't Jonathan or Ashley. And I felt like a damn fool to have a child with strangers. Let alone slept with y'all too...I do regret it but then I don't cause I don't regret Lani. She's the best thing that came out of it. But I worry for her; cause who knows how y'all really are.."
"We're the same people you met. We just didn't tell you our names or what we do for work. But we're still the same"
"No you're not. I opened up to y'all. Told y'all everything about me. And y'all still played me. And I refuse to have y'all play in Lani's life..."
"Sounds to me like you got something you want to say"
"I do...I want y'all to leave us alone after this. Lani doesn't need y'all and neither do I"
"Meg seriously-"
"I'm dead serious. She didn't need y'all for these past four years so why now?"
"Because she can feel the bond too. I love that little girl and it's only been two days. She's apart of us too and you're trying to break us up"
"Y'all wasn't together from the jump! If this shit didn't happen y'all wouldn't know her. And let's say I would've had an abortion like I was thinking of doing y'all would've killed me without a second thought...cause it's what y'all do. So excuse me for trying to protect my child from the monsters she sadly has as parents" I say frustratedly and storm out the kitchen pushing pass him
I get to the room finding Beyoncé rocking Lani.
"Get. Off. Her" I mutter angrily
"She was crying and I-"
"Get. The. Fuck. Off. Of. Her" I mutter again
I watch her slowly put Lani down as Lani slightly whines but lays down. She rubs her back and walks towards me, I grab her arm as we stare at each other.
"You and your husband. Stay the fuck away from her. Act as if she never existed to y'all like y'all did for four years" I mutter to her
She snatched her arm from me and continues to walk out the door. I slam the door behind her and stick a chair under the knob; I'm gonna do everything possible to keep them from Lani.
