Raising Remi

10. it's yours

Luca's head shot up as he heard a knock on the door.

Milo stood at the doorway, "dinners ready" he said before walking away.

Luca lightly shook Remi awake. "It's time for dinner little one"

Remi softly groaned and shook her head as she leaned into Luca's chest.

"You said you were hungry earlier" he picked her up and put her on her feet. "Let's go eat then you can go back to bed, ok?"

Remi opened her eyes and puffed out her bottom lip making her cheeks chubbier than usual "ok"

Remi held on to Luca's hand as they walked downstairs and to the kitchen.

Milo, Ethan, and Levi sat at the long table in the dining area of the kitchen.

All on their phones.

The food had already been placed

There was a smaller plate between Levi and milo placed for little Remi.

Luca walked her over to the seat and helped her get in before taking his own next to Ethan who was in front of Remi.

As soon as Luca sat down the boys began eating.

"Wheres xander?" Ethan asked as he took a sip of his cold water.

"Probably out getting drunk or fucking some girl"

"Hey," Luca said.

"No cursing around Remi" Ethan finished.

"She doesn't even know what we're talking about. I highly doubt she'll ever say it" milo rolled his eyes.

As Ethan and Luca scolded their younger brother, Remi turned to Levi.

"Whats fucking mean," she said to him.

His face turned cold, "something you should never say or do"

Reno knitted her eyebrows together in confusion.

How do I do that?

"Why the hel- why aren't you eating?!" he said as he looked down at her.

She hadn't touched her food.

"Huh?"

"Eat your food" he brought the plate closer to the edge so she could get it better.

"This is mine?" her eyes widened.

"Yes. Eat"

"S-so I can eat it?" she observed the pasta. "It's mine?"

Levi's face softened, "yes you can eat it, you can eat whatever you want to here" he never wanted her to worry about if she could eat or not.

Remi eagerly picked up the fork that was too big for her and began eating the pasta.

She had eaten so many good foods so far but this had to be the best.

She finished just before her brothers.

There was a little sauce on her chin and the side of her mouth but she didn't notice.

"C-can I have more?" she asked nervously.

"Drink some water first," Ethan said as he got up.

"Here" Levi handed her a big cup of water with melting ice.

She began drinking it slowly but as she drank faster she grip on the cup loosened and spilled on lap and chest.

Ethan rushed over with a tea towel in hand and began drying her off and wiping off the sauce on her face.
