Thousands of Birds

~Part 4~

          Becky returned to her condo but her mind was on Freen. Becky's mind – "What if Rin makes a move?" She shook her head and erased the negative thoughts. She called Freen but she didn't pick it up. She called several times but there was still no response. Then, Becky decided to go straight to the art gallery.

          On the other side, Freen and Rin were walking through the art gallery.

"This place is incredible!"

            Rin said,

"You really have a talent for this"

           Meanwhile, Becky arrived at the gallery and saw Freen and Rin talking and laughing.

"Freeeeennn!!!"

          Someone ran to Freen and almost bumped into Becky who was standing in front of the door.

"Oh, I'm sorry"

          Nam, Freen's friend came to meet Freen at the art gallery. Rin was disappointed and then Freen saw Becky. She waved at her but Becky ignored it and left.

"Bec!!"

           Freen shouted but Becky ignored her and continued to leave. Freen turned to Rin and then turned back to Becky but Freen couldn't find her anymore. Rin saw everything and smirked like a winner and Nam saw it. She frowned, then looked at Freen.

"I need you now. Can I take Freen, Rin??"

"Yea, yea"

          Then, Rin left and Freen finally sighed.

"Thanks, Phi Nam. I was waiting for you"

          Actually, Freen called Nam to pick her up. Because she didn't want to stay next to Rin. She knew Rin liked her since they met. Now, Freen was thinking about Becky. She was worried about Becky. Nam patted her back and,

"Are you okay?"

          Freen sighed,

"I don't know. She seemed really upset. I just don't understand why"

"I think you should go after her"

          Freen nodded. Then, she ran outside and,

"Beck!!"

          But she couldn't find Becky anymore. She searched Becky about an hour, then realized she went back home. Nam followed after Freen and,

"Can you find her?"

          Freen shook her head and Nam smirked. Then,

"I have a question to ask you"

"Yes, what's that?"

"Why are you ignoring Nong Rin?? She really likes you"

           Freen looked at Nam and,

"I'm not ignoring Nong Rin. I'm just... not interested in her. She's a friend but it's clear to me that she has deeper feelings"

          Nam nodded and smiled then,

"So... what's about with that girl?"

"Do you mean Becky?"

"Ohh, Ms. CEO, yes she is. What's going on with you and her? I saw the look on you face when she left"

"I don't know. I am just worried about her"

"But for me, I think it's more than that"

"Huh??"

          Freen was confused by what Nam said. She shook her head and,

"What are you talking about?? I just see her... as a sister, a friend"

"Oh really?? Okay, fine..."

          Nam giggled and teased her. For Freen, she didn't realize that she was fallen for Becky from the start...

          On the other side, Becky was in the corner of her bedroom, thinking about what she saw.

"Are they dating?? What's the feeling of it?? Why do I feel jealous?"

          She whispered to herself. She didn't understand her own feelings for Freen. They knew they were really close friends and sisters. They just cared for each other but things were changing between them.

          Becky laid on her bed and hugged her care bear. She closed her eyes, replaying the moments at the gallery – Freen smiling at Rin, their comfortable conversation, the way Freen seemed comfortable around her.

"Why does it hurt so much?"

          She whispered.

"It's just... Phi Freen"
