I smiled lazily as I gazed up from the wall, watching Suki lay on her giant bed, asleep and breathing gently.
But my eyes suddenly flickered to the bedroom door, finding it creaking open quietly as a figure suddenly stepped in.
My lashes lowered in amusement as he silently crept over to the bed.
I just pushed on the door, shutting it behind him.
He immediately flipped around, locking eyes with me.
I just smiled, pressing my finger to my lips. "Shhh."
And I shot at him, immediately covering his mouth to conceal his scream of horror, and I opened my mouth, feeling my fangs tear through my gums before I sliced my teeth into his neck.
He cried out in pain, voice muffled through my hand, but Suki didn't wake.
Keep sending more men, keep trying to attack her, I thought then, I'm hungry and I need more food.
