The days that followed were difficult, but this time, Jisung and Minho faced their challenges together. They opened up to each other, sharing their fears, their hopes, and their love without the shadow of secrecy hanging over them.
Eventually, they confided in their group members. The reaction was not what they had feared. Instead of judgment, their group accepted their relationship with quiet understanding, although some members had more amusing reactions than others.
Felix, for one, had taken it upon himself to act as their unofficial cheerleader. “You guys are so cute together! It’s like watching a romantic comedy,” he said, giving them both thumbs up while pretending to wipe away happy tears.
Hyunjin, on the other hand, could barely contain his laughter. “Just don’t start writing sappy songs about each other,” he teased, throwing an arm around Minho's shoulder. “We don’t need more ballads about ‘secret love’ or ‘chipmunk cheeks.’”
Bang Chan raised an eyebrow, smirking as he joined in. “Just remember, if you guys need help with any ‘relationship goals’ content for social media, I’m your guy. I have some excellent tips!” He winked, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
As for the rest of the world? Jisung and Minho decided that when the time was right, they would share their truth.
Until then, they would live for themselves, for their love, and for the moments they had fought so hard to protect—like the time they almost got caught sneaking a kiss backstage during a concert.
“We should probably work on our stealth skills,” Minho joked one night as they lounged on the couch, reminiscing about their near misses.
“Agreed,” Jisung replied, chuckling. “Next time, we’ll just distract everyone with our dance moves. Who would suspect the ‘cute chipmunk’ is secretly a romantic?”
Together, they had found something worth fighting for—something that didn’t need to be perfect, just real.
And in the end, that was all that mattered.
