Emily's POV:

"I headed to Ryan's room to check if he came back home last night, feeling a bit worried since it was unlike him to stay out late. I knocked on the door, but there was no response. I called out to him, still nothing. Curious, I gently pushed the door open, expecting it to be locked, but it swung open easily.

What I saw took my breath away. Ryan and Scarlett were fast asleep in each other's arms, peaceful smiles on their faces. A warm smile spread across my face as I took in the tender moment. Careful not to disturb them, I quietly closed the door.

As I turned to leave, my gaze met Mom's, who was beaming with happiness. It was clear she'd witnessed the same heartwarming scene. We exchanged knowing chuckles, tiptoeing out of the hallway and into the kitchen to make breakfast."

As we entered the kitchen, Mom couldn't help but whisper, "Looks like Ryan's found his match, huh?." Mom said, cracking eggs into a bowl

I grinned, sharing her enthusiasm. "Definitely. They look adorable together.

We moved quietly, preparing breakfast. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, mingling with our hushed conversation.

"I'm so happy for Ryan," Mom said, her eyes sparkling with delight. "He deserves someone special." She added

I nodded, slicing bread for toast. "Scarlett's perfect for him. She brings out the best in him." I said beaming with smiles.

I knew Scarlett and Ryan would make a fantastic couple. They looked absolutely perfect together. I couldn't help but wish that Victoria wasn't in the picture. Honestly, I never liked her, and my parents didn't either.

From the moment Ryan introduced her as his girlfriend, something about Her rubbed me the wrong way. Everything about her seemed fake – her laughter, her conversations, even her smile. It was as if she was putting on a show, trying to impress us.

I remembered how Mom would raise an eyebrow whenever Victoria was around, and Dad would make subtle comments about her lack of authenticity. Ryan, however, had been smitten, and we'd supported him despite our reservations.

But now, with Scarlett by his side he seemed happy. Their connection was palpable.

We severed breakfast round the dining table, smiles on our faces. Just then, Ryan and Scarlett descended the stairs, attempting to appear nonchalant despite the telltale signs of a cozy morning.

Mom and I exchanged amused glances, our chuckles barely contained. their attempts in trying to act nonchalant like they weren't snuggled up all night only made it more adorable.

Ryan cleared his throat, trying to sound casual. "Morning, everyone!"

Scarlett smiled brightly, her cheeks flushing. "Good morning!"

We greeted them warmly, our eyes sparkling amusement. The tension was palpable, but in a delightful way.

Not long Dad joined us in the dining and we all greeted him.

As we passed plates and poured coffee, Mom couldn't resist teasing. "Sleep well, kids?"

Ryan's face turned slightly pink, while Scarlett giggled. "Yes, thank you," they chimed in unison.

The breakfast table filled with laughter and conversation, our joy infectious. It was wonderful to see Ryan and Scarlett so happy, their love radiating like a warm glow.

Ryan cleared his throat, his eyes scanning the room before locking onto ours. "I have something to share," he began, his voice steady. "Victoria and I are no longer together."

The room erupted into a collective sigh of relief, our faces mirroring each other's excitement. Mom's eyes sparkled, and I couldn't help but grin.

Ryan's expression turned somber. "I found out yesterday she's been cheating on me. It's been going on for a while."

Mom's expression softened. "Oh, Ryan, I'm so sorry."

I reached out, placing a hand on his arm. "We're here for you, bro."

Scarlett's face lit up with empathy. "You deserve so much better."

Ryan's shoulders relaxed, a hint of a smile on his lips. "Thanks, guys. Means a lot."

The tension dissipated, replaced by warmth and support. We surrounded Ryan with love and understanding.

Dad spoke up, "We're glad you're free from that toxic relationship."

I nodded vigorously. "Victoria never deserved you."

Scarlett leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're an incredible person, Ryan. You deserve someone who'll make you truly happy."

Ryan's eyes locked onto hers, his smile spreading. "And that someone is you, Scarlett."

The room fell silent, anticipation hanging in the air. Scarlett's cheeks flushed a deep red as she smiled.

"Will you be my girlfriend Scarlett?" Ryan asked, his voice filled with emotion.

Scarlett's eyes sparkled. "Yes!"

The room erupted into cheers and applause. I jumped up, excitement coursing through my veins. "Champagne anyone?"

I headed to the fridge, retrieving a chilled bottle of wine and glass cups. Mom beamed, tears shining in her eyes. "This is perfect."

As I poured the wine, Ryan and Scarlett shared a tender kiss. We raised our glasses in a toast.

"To Ryan and Scarlett!" Dad exclaimed. "May your love continue to grow and flourish."

We clinked glasses, savoring the joy and love filling the room.
