Fifteen

Emily's POV:

I beamed with joy when Scarlett confided in me about her feelings for Ryan. She's exactly the kind of girl my brother needs in his life - genuine, caring, and kind.

Victoria, on the other hand, never sat well with me. Her manipulative nature and selfish ways always made me uneasy. I'd witnessed how she played games with Ryan's emotions, and it broke my heart.

Scarlett, with her gentle spirit and compassionate heart, was a breath of fresh air. I'd seen how she looked at Ryan, But I hadn't realized the depth of her feelings until she confided in me.

I rushed into my parents' room, eager to share the exciting news. "Mom, Dad, you won't believe what's happening!" I exclaimed.

My mom looked up from her book, a warm smile on her face. "What's all the fuss about, sweetie?"

"Scarlett told me she has feelings for Ryan," I said, beaming.

"Really? That's wonderful news," Mom replied, turning to Dad. "Honey, Ryan will be thrilled to know this."

I stood there, surprised. "What's going on here? I asked anxiously.

Mom's expression turned thoughtful. "Earlier this morning, I checked on Ryan to know whats of cos he hasn't been himself lately. He confided in me about his feelings for Scarlett and his suspicions about Victoria. I filled Dad in on the details."

My eyes widened. "Victoria? What's going on?"

Mom's voice lowered. "Ryan thinks Victoria might be seeing someone else. He's unsure, but he has a bad feeling."

My mind reeled. This was getting complicated.

"Do you think Victoria would really do that?" I asked.

Dad chimed in, his voice stern. "Victoria's never sat well with us. We never liked her for Ryan. Scarlett's a much better match."

I nodded vigorously. "I know, right? Scarlett's perfect for Ryan!"

Mom's expression turned thoughtful. "We need to support Ryan through this.

I nodded, determination  coursing through me. " I'll be there for him, no matter what."
