Tommy's phone rang. He pulled it out his pocket and looked at the screen expecting it to be his manager calling to give him permission to close the store. He thought how he was going to close the store if he gave permission or not but would rather do it with a clear conscience.

It was not Marshall much to his frustration. Though he was not as frustrated as the furious customer who was still pounding the door.

"Hey mom." He ran his fingers through his curly blonde hair as he walked away from the door.

"Are you okay?" His mother asked with concern in her voice. He thought how his parents in New York safely out of Ingrid's path. By the time it reaches them it should be a tropical storm. That's even if continues to go north. It might just go east dissipate over the Atlantic.

Sadly it won't do either before causing tons of damage to Solomon City and the surrounding county.

"I'm fine." He replied trying to keep the sheer terror he was feeling out of his voice.

"Are you at work?" She asked.

"Yes." Tommy said. "I still have one customer in the store once he is gone I am going to close up and head home."
He watched as the customer walked towards the back of the store. "I better go so I can ring this customer out and get out of here."

"Okay." She said. "Give me a call when you get home."

"I will."

"Love you."

"Love you too, mom." He then disconnected and slid the phone into his pocket.

Tommy heard a pounding on the window and saw that it was the angry woman was now pounding on the window demanding to be let back in.

Don't you have a real job to get back to he thought.

Tommy ignored her and walked over to the customer who browsing a selection of multi pack containers. "Excuse me sir." Tommy said in a neutral tone. The thirty something year old man turned to look at him. "We're closing."

"Closing?" Confusion was in the man's brown eyes as he spoke.

"Yes because of the hurricane." Tommy said.

"Why?" The man's brow furrowed. "Ingrid is not suppose to hit for another eight hours."

"Yes but there is a evacuation order." Tommy said. You know the evacuation warning you recieved on your phone ten minutes ago. The one you are ignoring while you diddly dally around the store.

"It's not a mandatory evacuation." The man said with a shrug and then returned to his attention to the containers.

"I know but we are still closing because of it."

"I'll be up in a few minutes." The man said and returned his attention to the containers.

"Sir I really need to check you out now so I can close the registers." He said in a desperate tone.

"And I said I will be there in a minute." The man gave him an annoyed look.

"Sir please I really need to get the store closed as quickly as possibly." Tommy said with desperation in his voice.

"And I need you to leave me alone so I can think." The man snapped. "Now leave me alone."

"Sir..."

"I said leave me alone." The man yelled his face turning bright red. "You know what you are the most unprofessional sales clerk I have ever seen. Who do you think you are trying to push me out of the store."

"I'm sorry if I offended you sir."

"If you offended me?" The man said incensed. "There is no if about it you have offended me. Is this how you treat customers." Tommy was about to say something when the man cut him off. "You know what I'm done talking to you. Got get your manager."
