Under the shade of ancient trees.
Beside tranquil waterways.
Love and history entwined.
Arsal stopped at a picturesque spot.
They sat there, shared tender glances.
Their hands intertwined.
After few hours they stood up to leave.
As the sun dipped below, painting the sky with hues of pink, orange, and purple.
Noor sighed,
“yeh din mere liye bhot khubsurat tha.”
(This day was beautiful for me.)Arsal smiled.

(My love, everyday with you is beautiful.)They walk back to the car.
Hand-in-hand, side-by-side.
The evening breeze whispered, secrets of happiness.
As they drove home, Noor leaned on his shoulder.
Feeling safe, loved.
They entered home, Noor saw Anne sitting next to her ammi (mother in law.)
She ran towards Anne, hugged her tightly.
They both talked and then Noor returned back to her house.
Noor helped Ammi in cooking.
Arsal joined, assisting with spices.
Laughter and love filled the kitchen.
Ammi smiled, watching Noor and Arsal together.
Arsal taught Noor, art of blending spices.
With love, dinner was prepared.
Family gathered around, ate tasty dinner.
Ended their dinner with some sweets.
Everyone went to their rooms.
Noor was sitting on her bed while Arsal was changing his clothes in washroom.
Noor reflected on the day.
Shalimar Garden's beauty.
Arsal's loving words.
Her heart filled with love.
Arsal entered, smiling.
“Meri jaan, kya soch rhe ho?”
(My love, what are you thinking?)Noor's eyes sparkled.

(Nothing, just, today's day was beautiful.)Arsal sat beside her, smiling.
Arsal nodded.
Noor leaned her head on Arsal's shoulder.
They talked, and then Arsal wrapped his arms around Noor.
Under the soft glow of the night lamp, love and commitment filled the air.
Arsal's gentle touch made her feel cherished.
They both slept.
Wrapped in each other's arms.
