Hey cutiesss!!
This chapter unfolds Amna's real face.
The reason she came here. After seeing Noor and Arsal together, supporting each other, tears rolled down Amna's face.
She ran towards her room, made a decision.
Amna's tears dried, but her resolve strengthened.
She has a mission.
To drive a wedge between Noor and Arsal.
A clever manipulation, to fuel Noor's doubts and Arsal's frustration.
She began to weave a web of deceit.
She thought that Noor and Arsal would never suspect, their love was her target.
The next day, Amna approached Noor, after Arsal went to his university.
“Noor ji, itni subhe Arsal ji kha gye?”
(Noor, where is Arsal?)Noor replied, “Arsal ji university gye hai.”
(Arsal went to his university.)“oh, acha” Amna replied.
(Oh, okay)“ap bhi to padhti ho, school nahi jaogi?“
(You are also studying, won't you go to school?)“nahi mai school nahi jaungi, ghar pe hi padhungi.” Noor said.
(No I will not go to school, I will study at home only.)“par kyu Noor ji?” Amna asked.
(But why Noor?)“Ammi ne kha hai ki humare ghar ki bhau ghar se bahir padhne nahi jayengi.” Noor replied.
(Mother said that, daughter in law of this house will not go out for studying.)“acha!” Amna replied with a hint of surprise.
“par Arsal ji ko kuch nahi ha”
(But doesn't Arsal mind?)Noor's expression changed, a flicker of uncertainty.
“nahi, unhe kuch nahi hai.”
(No, he's okay with it.)“mai apko ik baat btau? Par kisi ko Matt btana.” Amna asked.
(Let me tell you something, but don't tell it to Anyone out here.)“hanji btao, mai nahi btaungi kisi ko bhi.”
(Yes tell me, I won't tell anyone.)“kuch saal phele, meri ammi aur Arsal ji ki ammi ne, mere aur Arsal ji ke nikah ki baat ki thi, humara nikah teh ho gya tha, par phir apki aur Arsal ji ka nikah ho gaya.”
(Few years ago, my mother and Arsal's mother discussed about Arsal's wedding with me, but now you and Arsal got married.)Noor's eyes widened in stunned silence.
“kya?”
(What?)Amna's voice dropped, to a whisper.
“haan, sachi Noor ji!”
(Yes, it's true Noor.)Noor's mind reeled, Arsal's weeding with Amna.
Hidden from her?
Why?
Noor's heart ached, a crack in their bond.
Amna asked, “yeh baat apko Arsal ji ne bhi nahi btayi?”
(Didn't even Arsal told you this?)“hum dono sath rehte the, aur shayad vo mujhe pasand nhi karte the.” Amna blushed.
(We both spent time together, and I guess he liked me too.)Noor's expression changed to dismay.
“ap aur Arsal ji?”
(You and Arsal?)Amna smiled, “haan, hum dono ik dusre ko pasand karte the.”
(Yes, se liked eachother.)Noor's heart sank.
Arsal's hidden truth, deceitful, painful.
Noor asked, “par phir?”
(But then?)Amna's voice dropped,
“apki shadi ho gayi, business deal ke karan.”
(Then you both married because of a buisness deal.)Noor's eyes flashed with anger, hurt.
“yeh mujhe kyu nahi btaya?”
(Why didn't they told me?)Amna said, “pta nahi.”
(Don't know.)Noor's trust shattered like a glass.
She went to her room.
She didn't ate lunch.
Arsal came back home, came to Noor.
He tried to talk but Noor remained silent.
Arsal's concern grew.
“kya hua, Noor?”
(What happened, meri jaan?)Noor's eyes cold.
“kuch nahi.”
(Nothing.)Arsal sensed tension.
“bataye, kya hua?”
(Tell me, what happened?)With hurt and anger she said, “kuch nahi”
(Nothing)Noor walked towards kitchen, cooked food for entire family.
At night, Arsal asked Noor to study but she refused.
Arsal tried to ask Noor about tension but Noor ignored him.
She slept, making a distance between them.
Arsal lay awake that night.
