"How?" Lucius asked, shock registering through all of us. "How can you bring him back?"
"Since when can you bring people back from the dead, Cousin?" Ezra asked, eyeing Erebus carefully.
"I didn't say I was bringing him back from the dead." Erebus said.
"What do you mean?" Selena asked.
Erebus shifted along the wall. "Ligamus isn't dead."
Ezra snorted, shoving away from his place beside Erebus and pacing the room. "What the fuck do you mean?"
"He's not dead." Erebus shook his head.
"Where is he?" Lucius said.
"Mmmm." Erebus considered the question. "Physically?"
Lucius didn't respond.
"I'm not allowed to say." He whispered.
"He was my father, Erebus."
"He is your father and I made him a deal that I wouldn't say anything. He didn't want to live without our mother, but he said that there was going to be a need for him at some point so he couldn't die yet."
"So what did you do, Eres?" Lucius took a step toward him.
Erebus chuckled, a wicked grin on his lips. "Look at you all worked up because your father asked me to protect him?"
"You've always been that guy, huh?" Lucius shook his head. "Taking other people's parents because yours just fell a little inadequate?"
"First of all, you sound very childish and that's why I didn't want to involve you in this to begin with, but I thought you should know that the Bloody Lord was coming back and we both know this time- he won't make me stop when he asks us to fight it out. Secondly- you know who he was and you know it was Ligamus that came to me."
Lucius shook his head. "I cannot believe you have kept this from me all this time."
Erebus nodded. "Yeah, well, you be sure to tell him how upset you are when I wake him up." He shoved away from the wall and started for me.
"Wake him up? So what he's just under some deep sleep?" Ezra asked.
"Yeah, something like that." Erebus said.
Lucius shook his head. "All this time?"
"Yes, Lucius!" Erebus yelled. "All this time! You don't have enough magic to help him. I do. He came to me and asked me to take the throne. He got me set up and when I finally had control over the Dark, he asked me to do him a favor now. He asked me to put a spell on him and send him into a deep sleep. So I did it. But now, I'm going to wake him up and I'm going to bring him back and he's going to help us. This was their problem and Ligamus was supposed to fix it. He didn't. So now he's going to. Let's hope he's not rusty."
"Death seems like a pretty good fix, don't you think?" Soren asked. "Reginald's supposed to stay dead."
"Apparently not with the Ouroboros lingering about." Erebus snipped at him. "Once it's successfully absorbed and she is not in danger," he pointed at me, "Ligamus can finally die and those that have died can officially stay dead."
"So what then, you just call upon dead daddies to fix your problems? Didn't they put the two of you in charge to fix the problems from now on?" Soren asked.
"Yeah our problems. Not theirs."
"It is your problem now." Soren said. "Ligamus did what he was supposed to. He stopped Reginald. He stopped him from the using the Ouroboros and he stopped him from continuing to ruin the Dark-"
