A Detestable Life

Chapter 4

For some reason the walk to the ice cream shop took longer than it had before. Tony popping her gum. Jason smoking. Jude looked deep in thought. All I could do was either stare at my feet to avoid tripping or focus on the steady beat of Tony's gum popping. Not the funnest walk I've been on. Sighing silently to myself drawing all of their attention. I shifted nervously as they all stared at me. " What" I managed to make out as confused as in how they heard me. "Hey Jude" a voice yelled from across the street.

We all turned to see a beautiful, fair skinned woman. Jude sloutched as I got a better look. This woman had dark, raven black hair down to her shoulders. Her bangs were straight across the top of her eyes. Her lips were as red as rubies and her eyes were as blue as the sky. Pale skin without any flaw. She reminded me of who i was with, just  because she was pale, fair, and her hair as black as coal that shined in the sunshine. I felt Tony shiver a tad and grab my arm. Shooting her a confused look just to get pulled along with a pleding look. " Where's my little neice going hmmm Tony?"

 At that moment the woman was infront of Tony and me. She slightly grabbed Tony's face and looked expectantly at her. " Any answer" the woman asked. Not hearing a reply she dropped Tony's face and looked at me. She lifted my face gentle yet rough at the same time and stared grudgingly into my eyes. " Who, is, this, Jude? Tony?" She glared at Jason lighting a cigarette and smacked it away from him. He glared at her.

" What do you want you old hag"  He asked bitterly.

She pulled my face closer to her and pointed to it. " Who is this girl Jason" she asked in a just as bitter tone.

He glanced at me. He looked back at her smiling. " I don't see why I should tell you who she is when you can ask her yourself."

Atleast I wasn't the only one uncomfortable in her pressence because Tony would usually be all tough and stuff. She inspected my face then let it go. " Who are you girl" the woman asked.

" Umm Hayden" I replied shifting my position and rubbing my jaw slightly.

She grimly stared at me. " I'm Jude's mother Cornelia. Pleasure to meet you Hayden." She turned to Jude. "And what are you doing young man?"

He slumped down even lower trying to avoid her cold gaze. I heard him mumble under his breath but I couldn't hear him. " Jude Ashton Coleman! What did you just say to me young man?!"

I tried to take a step back but Cornelia's grip reatached to my arm and would not release. " I said that I was going out with them" Jude repeated. I didn't hear him the first time so this made me so confused. " Now would you please release Hayden's wrist mom?"

" You mean this girl right here" Cornelia asked in a cocky voice. " She looks more like a snack to me?"

I looked at Cornelia in horror as she glanced coldly at me. Jude's, Tony's, and Jason's eyes rose in horror at what Cornelia had just said. Before I had anytime to react I'm being lifted off the ground. Looking, she had me balanced on her hip holding me with one arm. " W-what the hell" managed to come out not as loud as I hoped but loud enough.

" Mom put her down now" Jude said in a really serious voice. I felt my heart began to beat faster as his eyes turned red. Now looking at Cornelia, her eyes were changing also. So were Tony's and Jason's. I felt air come in gasps as I squeezed my eyes shut. I couldn't breath. " She is not a snack!"

" I beg to differ Jude" she said jumping back in a huge leap. We landed in a tree and she set me up right. She slammed me against the tree base and held me up by my neck. I saw fangs in Cornelia's mouth as she leaned forward. " She is about to be one. She is worthless to you."

My eyes widened as she moved her mouth closer to my throat. Feeling her fangs puncture my skin, I let out a noise. I don't know if it was a scream or something else but all I knew was that it started to burn around where she bit me. Cornelia with drew her fangs and looked at me in shock. I grasped my neck and lost my balance, plumiting to the ground 20 feet below. I squeezed my eyes shut only to be caught in Jude's arms. He sat me down gently and supported my neck. Jason and Tony came running up to me. My sight was set up looking at Cornelia holding her mouth. " My lord" she said in barely a whisper. The Earth started spinning round and round. I felt pain awaken in my body through out my blood stream and rush into my head. 

I felt every bit of detail happen. In my hair a pink strip of hair slid its way onto the side of my head along with a small tiara on top. I felt my pale skin get paler and become more fair. My normal hair became slightly poofed more. My body becoming skinnier than it was. The pain was immense. I don't know where she came from but Jayden came running at me. A look of worry and dread upon her face.

Jayden's white skirt began to get stained with mud as she pushed Jude out of the way. Her hair still blonde as ever but her hair had blue in it. Her hair looked barely any poofier and she had a emerald hair clip in her hair. Like my body, it changed entirely. I sat up holding my head. " Welcome back your majesty" said a voice in my head. " You've finally returned to us."

The whole Earth began to change into a darkened place. The sky was blood red and the ground and trees where black. Buildings all black. ' Where am I ' I began to think.                                                  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ya well I haven't updated this story in awhile so I'm sorry if it's not that great of a chapter. Also I wrote this after pulling an all nighter and i haven't slept for over 24 hours now so ya.... The song is Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold. Thanks for reading! :3
