"Ugh finally!" Gwen sighed tiredly, looking out the window of the rust bucket when driving past several tall buildings, now reaching civilization after spending about a few days driving the hot dessert with no one around "It's been so long since we've been somewhere normal! After the whole thing with the limax, I thought we'd never go somewhere far away from all this alien stuff"

"You say it like nothing weird might happen in a city as big as the places we've been" Y/n looked up from his chaquetrix when he was busy fiddling with it

"It's better with actual people then all this alien crap" Gwen sat back in her seat, soon when this rust bucket parked she would plan and go somewhere where she would be away from her cousin for a short while before anything would happen

Y/n remained in the background, deciding to check on the chaquetrix, after the whole incident with the megawatt, strange things had been happening to it, such as the new color yellow and the constant spinning dial. Wanting to figure out as to why this was happening, trying to turn the dial left and right to see if he can get that same color change again, trying to repeat the same steps he made to get some reaction out of it, but couldn't recall anything he did that made it get that way aside from summoning nea, but he didn't know how she would effect it like that, but if she had something to do with it, he could try to summon her again.

"You two can do whatever you want, but don't split up from each other, especially when it's dark out. I trust you both, but...it gets dangerous at new York when it's night out..." Max looked over his shoulder to warn the two, expecting them to be together when they're out during the night

"I think I'll be fine on my own grandpa" Gwen stood up, not wanting to spend the day at new york with her cousin around her all the time "You don't have to be so worried about us all the time and thing right now I'm not feeling like going out"

She rested her hands on her hips, she was confident being alone and didn't need her cousin to tag along with her, especially with wherever he goes, weird things continue to happen with her dragged into it. Y/n got up, walking right up next to her, managing to keep his balance when the rust bucket was still moving, but leaned down, resting his hand on the chai she sat on.

"Gwen...we've been through a lot of things during the summer and the one time our grandpa was alone, he was kidnapped by a bunch of slimy aliens that eat old people and can die by man milk, do you really trust yourself alone, especially in a big city?" Y/n asked, awaiting an answer from his cousin

"That's because horny aliens comes where you go, I think I rather save myself sticking around whatever weird side of the city right across where your going" She crossed her arms, resting against her seat as Y/n just shrugged, leaving her be to go on her own

The rust bucket parked next to the sidewalk, Y/n slipped his shoes on and head to the door, opening it up, but didn't get out, he turned to his cousin and waited her for...something, like some kind of reaction if she was considering in actually leaving with him.

"Your gonna miss out, there's tons of stuff to do around here!" Y/n raised his voice a little to make sure she heard him, but all she did was wave her hand at him to shew away

"I'm all good, besides I got my book to keep me occupied" Proving her point, she pulled out one book from her bag that contained multiple encyclopedias and math books she always read to pass the time

"I'm pretty sure you finished most of them by now" Y/n crossed his arms, recognizing the book she pulled out of the ones she always read the few times they were forced to stay inside like if it were raining 

"Yeah and I'm gonna repeat so I don't forget anything, now stop talking and hurry up and get out so I can enjoy my peace and quiet" Getting up from her seat, she grabbed the back of Y/n's shirt and tossed him out the next second, slamming the door closed
