At night, the rust bucket traveled under the night sky. Y/n and Gwen were in the back sitting down near the table, looking down at the Galvan Gwen had made him summon, specifically to try on the various outfits she had bought from a doll store to see if it would fit her.

He leaned back in his seat with his arms crossed, watching in boredom at the alien play dress up with his cousin. At least Gwen wasn't being rude to the smallest alien or anything, just taking amusement out of fitting the small clothes on the alien.

"Sage, hold still!" Gwen struggled to fit the next dress on the miniature alien that squirmed when she was being too rough on her slimy skin

"I am being still, stop pinching my ass!" Sage finally got out of her grip, now wearing the stylish red dress Gwen picked out one of the dolls "Y/n look! How do I look! Do I look pretty!" She ran up to him on the table, looking up at him with her wide eyes before twirling a bit

Grandpa max droved past a couple of buildings, that was when they notice a sign when they looked out the window. Advertising a circus they were heading with a clown on it, not looking like the usual colorful clown people usually see on tv, but he was more...creepy looking. It made Y/n shudder a little at the wide grin on the bored starring back at him for a couple of seconds before driving past it.

"Oh look at that! A circus!" Gwen got up from her seat with her hands on table, looking excited at seeing there was a circus nearby

"I haven't been to the circus in ages! Why don't we all stop there for the night!" Max asked the two

They were excited at the idea of going to the circus, thinking what could be inside like elephants doing tricks or other performers, but Y/n was quiet, he didn't want to go to the circus, just after he saw the creepy clown on the sign, but he also didn't want to go in any circus in general for one reason...he hates clown.

When he was little he always had a fear of clowns. He didn't know why, but just by their appearance alone made him disgusted, he wasn't alone when other people had this similar fear, but he was still embarrassed to say this around his family.

"C...The circus" He rested his hand on his mouth, his teeth chattering in a cartoonish sound that it got the Galvan beneath him giggle a little

Just being reminded of clowns brought the hunting story back into his head when all he ever wanted to do was forget about it

"Uhhhh...Y/n? are you ok?" Gwen waved his hands over his eyes, noticing his hesitation to answer a simply question of going to the circus

"Huh? Yeah, yeah I'm fine! totally nothing wrong with me!" Y/n answered rather immediately, trying to lower suspicion at his hesitation to going to the circus

"You say that all the time, but you and me both know that's always a lie. Does it have to do with the circus, Y/n? You scared or somethin?" Gwen raised an eyebrow, that question seemed to tick the boy off immediately at the question if he was scared
