Y/n wandered around the mansion, his eyes wide with awe and excitement as he took in the grandeur of the place. The polished floors, intricate tapestries, and the sheer size of it all left him feeling like he was in a dream. He couldn’t help but run his hands along the cool marble walls, admiring the craftsmanship and beauty of the structure.

The archons watched him from a distance, their hearts swelling with satisfaction and joy at his reaction. Seeing him so happy filled them with a sense of purpose—they had brought him to this place not only to keep him safe but to surround him with the luxury and care they believed he deserved.

Y/n eventually slowed down, his excitement ebbing into a calm curiosity. He turned to the archons who stood around him. “This place is amazing,” he said softly, his eyes still sparkling. “I can’t believe how beautiful it is.”

The archons smiled, Venti giving him a playful wink while Raiden stood with her arms crossed, looking proud. Focalors smirked as she leaned against the wall, and Nahida beamed at Y/n’s happiness.

Y/n paused, glancing around thoughtfully. “Where did you put my books?” he asked, his voice light but genuinely curious. “I’d love to read one now.”

At that moment, the air shifted.

All the archons froze.

The sudden tension was palpable, and Y/n immediately noticed the shift in their demeanor. They were completely still, avoiding eye contact as an awkward silence settled over the room. Y/n furrowed his brows, confused by their strange reactions. “Didn’t you pack them?” he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty. When no one responded, his heart began to race. “Where’s Zhongli?” he asked again, this time a bit more insistently.

Mavuika, ever the calm one, stepped forward smoothly, breaking the silence. "Zhongli is… just getting some firewood," she lied, her voice gentle but firm. She smiled at Y/n, hoping to distract him. "Why don’t you join me in the kitchen? I thought we could cook something together. It’s been a while since we made a proper meal, hasn’t it?"

Y/n blinked, surprised by the sudden offer but not suspicious enough to question it further. His mind drifted from the books to the thought of spending time with Mavuika, and despite the strange moment, he couldn’t resist the warmth in her voice. “Sure,” he said, offering her a small smile. “I’d like that.”

Mavuika’s eyes softened in relief, and she gently guided Y/n toward the kitchen, away from the others. Behind them, the archons exchanged glances, silently communicating their collective agreement to keep the book situation under wraps for now. They’d have to deal with it later—after Zhongli returned with a solution.

As Y/n and Mavuika entered the kitchen, the tension in the air seemed to ease. Mavuika moved gracefully around the space, gathering ingredients with a quiet elegance. Y/n watched her for a moment before stepping forward to help, a content smile playing on his lips.
