The weather was cloudy. Today was one of those days that I stay inside, read books, watch movies and eat snacks. That was until George texted me saying that we should go out.

I know I was the one who said that we should go out at least two times a week but he's been the one doing all the date planning. I'm not complaining. I like spending time with him.

We decided to go to the local park and walk alongside the river. Oh yeah, our city has a river. Cool right? But the weather is weird.

It's supposed to be summer and it definitely doesn't feel like it. Today might be the coldest day of June we've seen in years. Maybe summer wasn't ready to come yet.

I get dressed and put on a light jacket. It's also a little windy and I don't want to get cold. My hair will get messy tho and I hate the thought of that happening.

Anyways, George and I decided to meet at the bus station so I head there. I glance towards his house in hopes of seeing him but he's not anywhere near his front porch.

As I cross the street, the bus station comes to view. And there he is, waiting for me with a silly little smile on his face. He's wearing black baggy jeans and a black jacket. He looks nice as always.

I look around and see two other girls and an old lady also waiting at the bus station. -"Hi"- I greet him. -"Hello to my amazing girlfriend"- he says cheerfully. Well someone's in a good mood. The girls that are waiting for the bus start to giggle and I smile.

"Stop it, you'll make me blush"- I joke and we both laugh. The bus comes and we sit next to each other. -"Put your head on my shoulder"- he demands. -"But no one's here to see it"- I say confused.

"Doesn't matter. Little things like this will help us get more comfortable with each other"- he reasons. -"Okay"- I give in still a little unsure. I put my head on his shoulder and he rests his on mine.

My heart starts to race.

What is he doing to me?

We arrive at our destination and step out of the bus. -"Ooh it's a little cold"- I whimper as the wind goes through me. He stops walking and turns to look at me.

George comes closer to me and before I can say anything, he starts zipping up my jacket. I stare at him with pure adoration but quickly snap out of it. I know I already have a crush on him but I shouldn't let my feelings escalate. I need to be more careful.

How can I do that when he's so perfect?

Fake dating or not, he's way too good at it.

"All set. Try not to get sick."- he says and we start walking again. I love this park. There's a path that goes along the river and there are trees on both sides. I look at the river and the water is a little greenish. Probably from all the plants that are growing there.

It's a beautiful view.

"Have you ever seen the turtles of the river?"- I ask excited. I love turtles. -"No. I didn't even know there were turtles living there"- he admits. -"If we're lucky maybe we get to see them today. There's a fallen log inside the river. That's where I saw them last time. Maybe they'll be there again"- I inform him as we continue our walk.

We arrive at the place I was talking about. The old log has fallen, uniting the two sides of the river. Obviously we can't get too close to it for safety reasons but we can see it from here.

"Come closer"- I say looking towards the log. And he moves closer to me. -"Where are they?"- he asks. -"Wait a little bit. You need to be patient"- I teach him. A minute or two pass in silence.
