I stare down the road not noticing I've made it home until Mikayla comes out to check on why I hadn't come in yet.

I walk in past her and she looks at me weirdly as we sit in the living room. "Are you ok? Did something happen?" She asks concerned.

"She kissed me." I say.

"Yeah I can tell." I turn to her and she wipes the lipstick off my face. Fucking aye! "I uh I got an invite from Jasmine to come to dinner with Jamie and Raven." She says and looks at me sympathetically. I nod. "Are we going?" I shrug.

"Do I have any appointments?" She shakes her head and I groan sinking into the sofa hoping to disappear. "Then yes we're going. Can you just let Jasmine know, I can't talk to Jamie right now. I need a shower." I say and get up not letting her get a word out.

I get out the shower and put on a brown Tupac graphic tee, black cargo pants, and my timbs. I slide on my black rings and black cross necklace and head to the living room. I see Mik sitting in a Pretty Little Thing black two piece and Air Force ones. Of course she's on her phone. "You ready?" She asks not looking up.

I wave my head looking confused. "How'd you know I was standing here?" I ask. She laughs and stands up tossing me my keys.

"Can we actually enjoy the meal tonight?" She asks sarcastically and I give her a bored look and she laughs walking out.

"You know, you aren't funny." I say with narrowed eyes. She just laughs and we get in the car and head to their house. "What do I do Mik?" I ask as we get closer.

"Dakota calm down. You act like you guys had a full makeout session. It was basically a peck and on her part. Let it go." She says plainly and I sigh.

"I can't just let it go! I-" she looks at me before I can finish the sentence. "I feel guilty. Do you think she told him?" I ask and she rolls her eyes.

"No otherwise he wouldn't have invited you to dinner. He'd be pissed." She says and my eyes widen. "Jesus Dakota! I'm joking." I glance at her and frown as she laughs. "He's your bestfriend, he'd be upset yes but he'd get over it. Why? Because you didn't do anything wrong." She says and I nod understanding.

We pull up to the driveway and I see Jamie's car, Jasmine and Ravens. My mind flashes to Tuesday as I was leant right beside her and her lips on mine. Hands waving in front of me snaps me out of it. "Do not do this in there." She says and gets out the car. I follow her nervously picking at my clothes. She slaps my hands and I frown at her. "Stop these are nice clothes and you're ruining them with your anxiety." I roll my eyes.

She knocks and the door opens revealing, green eyes. Thank god! "Hey I'm so glad you guys made it! Jamie would not shut up about it." Jasmine says opening the door for us to walk in.

"It's so nice to be in here without dealing with this one almost throwing up on me." Mik says jokingly nudging me. Jasmine laughs.

"Yes I've heard. Thank you for the painting Dakota by the way. It's beautiful." I smile and nod at the praise.

"Uh thank you. But it was your vision, I just made it into reality." I say humble. She nods and smiles.

"Yurrrr!!" Jamie comes in and hugs me tight I laugh at his antics.

I push him off. "God you are getting too muscular. You're going to squish me with these things man." I say squeezing his arm and he laughs.

"Shit me?! Have y'all seen this girl under all these clothes? She should be a body builder." He gloats and I roll my eyes.

"You gotta stop trying to have people see me naked." I say and hear glass break in the kitchen. We all run in and see Raven and a wine glass with red wine on the floor by her feet. I look from the floor to her and she's staring at me wide eyed.

"Baby are you ok?" Jamie comes in and makes his way to Raven and moving her slowly away from the glass. "I'll get something to clean this up." He says and kisses her cheek. She smiles softly at him and then looks back at me.

"H-hey Dakota." Her voice shaky.

I clear my throat to break me from staring into those beautiful eyes. "Hi Raven. It smells great in here." And it does. I hope it smells as good it taste.

"Well I hope it tastes as good as it smells." She says with a nervous laugh. I smile and I hear someone clear their throat and turn to Mik.

"Um Raven can I speak with you?" I ask and she looks at me in fear. I nod to reassure her and she nods and we walk to the back yard. She closes the door and we step away further. I take her in as she walks beside me. She's in an off the shoulder black crop blouse and tight high waisted jeans and heels. Her curly hair is in a top pony tail and hoop earrings. God she's beautiful.

"I didn't think you'd actually come." She says looking anywhere but me. I frown at that but don't say anything.

"Uh yeah. I had nothing to do so I told Jamie I'd come. Didn't want to disappoint him." I say and she looks at me with guilt in her eyes. "I-I didn't mean it like that Raven. I-"

She waves her hand and shakes her head. "No it's fine I understand. I don't want to disappoint him either." She says and I nod. "Dakota I'm sorry for kissing you. I-I don't know what I was thinking. I'm not a cheater. I'm not like J-" I look at her. "I'm not like that. And I'm definitely not someone who just goes after the bestfriend. It was wrong and I can understand why you would feel guilty but you did nothing wrong. You didn't kiss me back."

"Do you-" I take a breath. "Do you regret it?" I ask. Why did I ask that?!

She looks at me confused. "Of course I did!" Damn! "No not that I didn't want to kiss you Dakota, I did." Now I'm so confused. She grabs my hand and I want to snatch it away but my body won't let me. "I regret it because I'm with Jamie. And I don't know if I like you or if I just find you attractive Dakota and I don't want to use you trying to figure that out." I frown at that.

I take my hand away. "So why did you kiss me?" I ask my voice laced with annoyance.

Tears start to appear but she wipes them away fast. "Because I see the way you look at me Dakota." My eyes soften. "And I love it. I love feeling like the only woman when I'm around you. It's refreshing. I've never been with a woman so I don't know if it's attraction or just attention I'm feeling. And I'm sorry, that I kissed you of all people." She says and my heart breaks. I don't know how to feel.

"D-do you like me Raven?" I ask.

She shakes her head. "D-don't ask me that Dakota. That's not fair." She chokes out.

I step to her to look down at her so she looks up at me and I look in her eyes. I grab her hip turning us so she's not in the view of the door. I see her shiver and take a breath from the contact. "Do you like me?" I ask again.

Her eyes go from each eye and scan my face. Her face drops and she hits my chest with closed fist and then opens it for one last hit and grips my shirt. "I can't." She says in a whisper not looking at me and then walks away. My eyes focus on the spot where she was that's now replaced with just a stone walk way. Great.
