Third person POV

No one knew what to do with Donna's confession.

Not Agatha who trusted Donna for a time, who was comforted by the fact that Wendy had a best friend, only to have that best friend betray her this way.

Not Matt, who was dealing with his own feelings for his ex's ex.

Not the kids- Ivan, Dan, and Francisca- who were listening at the door and had no idea things would lead them here.

Not Zach who had a million questions in his mind now.

Because this just got a whole lot more complicated.

Zach narrowed his eyes at the woman.

"You loved me?" He asked.

Donna nods in conformation and speaks, "your relationship with Donna was already on the rocks and so I took the opportunity when it was handed to me."

"What does that mean?" Zach asks, dreading the answer.

Donna shrinks back and hesitates to answer but with Zach's intense gaze on her, she thinks better on her silence.

"I might have told her that it would be best for her to....leave you and start anew somewhere else and that I'd help her."

Agatha gasped but Zach payed her no mind. His rage fighting his insistance to keep calm in the situation.

"You are the reason my wife left." He says, coldly.

"I never thought that she would take one of your kids with her! I never gave her the idea to kidnap your daughter!

"But like any friend, when I saw her miserable I told her to leave the source of her misery."

Zach chuckles, "no, you told her to leave, because you wanted her out of the way."

"So what if I did? She didn't love you! She didn't deserve you! The life you gave her! I did!" She shouts. "She was an ungrateful brat! But you never appreciated me either! When she left I tried to get close to you and-

"And your plan backfired." Agatha interjects. "You tried to come to him under the guise of helping us but he turned every opportunity you took to get closer to him away."

Donna sneers. "I thought I'd just give you time. You had just lost your wife and daughter, you were just upset right now, but you'd get over it."

"But he never did." Matt concludes.

You could hear a pin drop after that, well, before Zach's hysterical laughter that got everyone in the room- and the ones listening outside it, worried.

"All this time," Zach laughs "all the time I lost with my daughter, was because of your silly little sick fantasy?"

Donna pales.

"How stupid am I to not see what was right in-front of me," Zach says

Fran was trying to push Ivan out of the way as he was blocking her from hearing anything coming out of the other side of the door.

"This is not fair, all of this is about me you know."

Ivan glares at her when they hear footsteps behind them.

They see a man wearing a big brown coat holding a folder in his hand and what looks like the entire NYPD police force behind him.

He smiles at them while they look around confused but he doesn't speak to them.

Ivan, Dan, and Francisca get out of the way so that the police can enter the office.

A lot of shouting and a "you can't do this to me!" And the kids see Donna, the CEO of this company and their mother's former best friends, get taken away in handcuffs.

Only a few seconds later that they see their father, step father, and grandmother leave the office behind them. They run to them, asking questions at the same time.

Their father just smiles at them. But it's not a smile of happiness, no-this smile looks rather sad as he hugs his kids and Matt joins.

For Francisca, this is a point where she hopes that all the pain that was caused would stay in the past now. That she can move on, that her brothers can move on, that her fathers can move on. That her family can finally-finally move on.
