Francisca's POV
* 1 year later*

"Fraaaaaan!" Dad bursts through my door while I'm applying my makeup.

I look at him eyes wide. "I can't find my tie. Have you seen my tie?!"

"Um" I say, not sure of the answer. But that's not good enough for me panicked father.

"Right here dad!" Ivan shouts, coming in my room, holding up a black tie.

Dad sighs in relief while Ivan laughs.

"God, I've never seen you so nervous." He says.

"Well, it's my wedding, I think I've earned the right."

"Don't worry, dad," I giggle, "I'm pretty sure Matt is as nervous as you right now."

A week after the whole Donna incident, Dad and Matt told me- us that they have feeling for each other and asked for our blessing for them to explore their relationship.

I can't say I wasn't surprised. In fact, I think I didn't believe until I actually saw them go on dates, and kiss, and flirt.

It was so weird....and beyond my wildest dreams.

I always wanted us to be a real family. All of us. I looked and brainstormed so many ways as to how merge my old and new life. My life with dad and my siblings, and my life with Matt. The furthest I got in my imagination was that my parents would be friends. That I'd be between houses, that I'd be living like any child of divorce.

But the opposite happened when dad proposed to Matt.

"Are you ready?" Dan appears at the doorway. "We gotta be quick or else Matt will throw up."

We all look at dad for a response and when he nods, I could not help my grin.

The ceremony went on without a hitch. Dad and Matt and officially married. Matt was my stepfather for a second time. No one threw up. Everything was great.

I don't know how my life ended up this way. How I am so happy now when only last year there were so many things unsure.

But here I am. Here we are.

Dancing with Matt on the dance floor now, I see how much he's smiling. I don't think I've ever seen him like this.

"Are you happy?" I ask, even though I already know the answer.

"So happy," he replies. "I-I have a family." He says as if the notion just hit him.

"You always have," I hug him, halting the dance.

After a little bit, my dad calls him to greet some more guests, he looks at my apologetically and goes

They look so so happy. And that's all I ever wanted.

Ivan and Dan stand beside me and look at our parents with me.

That's all we've ever wanted.
