We arrived inside my house and she felt a little comfortable now. She turned to me asking where the living room is, so we can sit and talk for a bit.

I tossed small logs to the fireplace as the heat of the fire grew and the area started getting warmer.

She sat on the couch, while I picked up the teapot and 2 teacups for me and Veronicah

- What is your sister's name?

She asked while she glanced at me

- Her name's Lia, she's a bit stubborn if you'd ask me.

As I said I chuckled, but inside, I'm already feeling nervous.

She laughed in a dazzling manner as she tried to stop

- Is that so? How stubborn then?

- About stubborn like a Tonkinese cat!

She chuckles in a fruity way

- So, you said your parents are taking night shifts?

I glanced at her while pouring hot tea on the 2 cups

- Heh? Oh yeah- they left 4 days ago.

- When are they coming back?
She asked while drinking the tea I gave her

- Probably 4 days more.

She set her tea cup aside as she wiped her lips with a napkin she got from her purse

- How are you able to contact them?

- I call them through the telephone whenever my shift is done and I go home early to see my little sister running around. But this time I came home late---

Suddenly she cuts me off by pointing at the spilled tea spreading around the table, my tea cup was already full

- Dear...the tea....

- OH! right! I'm sorry I wasn't really paying attention.

She handed me one of her napkins and I wiped the spills away and threw it on the trashcan.  We kept talking about my family and how my week was, before she came into my life.

- Atleast your parents aren't like mine. I mean, do you want to know?

She looked down for a second while she looked back up on me  with a small smile.

I was just drinking my tea, the moment I  realized she was asking me. I quickly placed my tea cup on the table.

- Y-Yeah???? What's u-up?

I smiled nervously as she giggled with a  sympathetic tone

- As a matter of fact, my mother always pushes me to attend photoshoots and talk show interviews.

She said with a passionate voice as she picked up her tea cup and started drinking it again.

- I mean, it's true that you're beautiful

She covered her mouth as she tried NOT to laugh again, she just giggled sweetly.

- And it's not only that. I love you not only by your beauty but I'm in love with who you truly are!!

I spoke confidently  thinking she would like what I said but she stopped for a second like I said something wrong.

I stared at her too and I was curious about what she was thinking about me.

- What? Why are you looking at me like tha---

She suddenly lifted my chin up and kissed me directly on the lips, I just panicked inside of my head but my guts told me to go with the flow.

I closed my eyes and felt her kiss for a moment before she pulled away and she tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear.

- Why'd y-you s-stop?

My mind was reeling after she pulled away, my heart was still racing.

Taking in the sight of her flushed lips and her warm eyes, I already thought to myself I wanted more.

God, is this woman going to be my wife!?

Or am I just going crazy?

I noticed her head turning to the side, and I followed where her eyes were directly looking at.

I saw my baby sister, basically holding her stuff toy which is a toy monkey, crying like she had ANOTHER stomach ache.
