Chapter 11: Finale

Mrs. Wendell called us in as our 10 minutes were up.

I looked at Veronicah and held her hand

I didn't have time to think what I'm going to say to her, I just felt like my mouth was zipped but my mind kept on going like a bicycle.

When we arrived back in the penthouse, Veronicah glanced at me

"It ends here, doesn't it?

Veronicah whined as she hates to see me go,

I sighed and felt disappointed

"Yeah, I'll miss you M'lady..."

She was surprised that I called her that then she giggled and then she gave me her last kiss, she pulled away and smiled at me

That's when a familiar voice was calling me...

"Daddy Daddy!! WAKE up!!!"

I woke up and glanced at my side to see my daughter Lia

"Lia, sweetie? What are you doing here? It's early in the morning..."

I spoke with a tired and still-sleepy tone

"Daddyyyy!!! I'm late for SCHOOL!"

"Oh right..."

I turned to my side to find Veronicah sleeping peacefully, I kissed her forehead and turned back to Lia

"I'll be there in a minute, princess."

"YAAAAY!"

Lia cheered as she ran back to the living room closing the door

Then I felt a hand intertwined with mine,

"I thought you were asleep?"

"Well that's what I thought to you too, dear~"

Veronicah smiled at me while rubbing her eyes

"I had this weird dream where our little  princess was my little sister and Bevila was my friend, but she's actually MY sister..."

I felt confused and lost for a second but I just took it as a crazy dream

"Honey, dreams are dreams. You'll get more when you sleep tonight,"

Veronicah stated calmly and gently

"What else did you dreamt about?"

"I dreamt about how we met but some things have changed and kind of..."

"Weird?"
Veronicah asked

"Yep."
I replied while fidgeting my thumbs

"I'm some sort of pizza delivery guy..."
I said while rubbing my head

"Hm? Really now?"
Veronicah chuckled as she got up from bed and reached out for her comb.

"It's just-"
I bit my lip and sighed

"Similar to how we met."
I lay back down while watching as my wife comb her hair.

Veronicah smiled warmly when suddenly Lia called me out again,

"DADDDYYY!!!" She yelled out.

"Okay, I'm coming sweetheart!" I got out of bed as well and made my way to the the bathroom to brush my teeth.

I kept on thinking about my dream while brushing my teeth, a wise man once told me that dreams have meanings. But I don't know what it has to do with me and Veronicah's relationship.

Probably a recall or some sort of rewinding of the past.

After we dropped off  Lia to school...

Me and Veronicah kissed her forehead, telling her a good-luck for her first day in school.

We went to a nearby cafe and took advantage of a date between us, wife and husband.

"Hunny..." Veronicah said while looking at the Menu.

I glanced at her one more time,

"I love you~" Veronicah winked at me.

I gulped as I stuttered while blushing red,

"I l-love you too, dear.." I chuckled as I looked back at my menu

After the waiter got us our order, Veronicah sighed.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"I miss our little baby." Veronicah pouted as her Lavender eyes twinkled making me say the word "awe~" over and over again in my head.

"Same here."

And then we kissed.
